high floorParticipantIf you were in charge of the Magic’s roster and you had to build around 3 of their young guys, which 3 players would you choose? Me personally, I would go with Gordon/Oladipo/Hezonja. If you can retain Fournier for under 16 million per year I would try to keep him too.. but anything in the 17-19 million per year range may be too rich for my blood. But I do like Fournier & hope he stays.
Who would you pick? Would any of you pick a combo of Payton/Vucevic/Fournier over my choices? I’m interested to hear the forum’s take

Arc12345ParticipantDefinitely not Payton. I’d go Vucevic, Gordon, and Hezonja. Tough to pick between Hezonja and Fournier but I like Hezonja.
Everyone is down on Vucevic but that man is clutch and skilled. I’ll take that, and playing next to Gordon compensates.

BennyLogParticipantGordon is my lock… I am also high on hezonja so hes in too.Oladipo has been playing alot better as of late so has Fournier so that one is tough. Vuc is probably the only one you mentioned that i absolutely want to trade.. Only because the value he would bring. I like Payton and still think he will get better but i dont think hes in my top 3 even though i dont want to get rid of him.
So in the end id probably agree with your 3 as of today

NBAjunkie81Participantthis is Orlando’s problem…. they’ve assembled some really high Value picks….. but nobody on that team is "untouchable" …….. For example, it’s been rumored that Boston has dangled that Brooklyn Lottery pick…… that is an incredibly valuable pick…….. Is there anyone on Orlando that anyone could see drawing interest for a top 4 or 5 Lottery pick – right now???

HitsterParticipantI’d say Olapido, Vucevic and Gordon personally.

Stop_basketball_nonsenseParticipantHigh tell me how I knew you wrote this before i clicked on it. I would like to talk to you in.perdon bout bball.one day only because i live in.orlando and i ride a pedicab. Personally i think oladipo and vucevic only, i think hezonja and gordan still have a lot of poetential and fournier is the mosy consistent perimeter score they have. If they can squire a good pg maybe (bledsoe, or sign.mike conley) and have Payton come off the bench with fournier, &, move hezonja to the starting sf spot to help ball movement, just because a quality pg, oladipo, & vucevic handle the rock so much they need someone who won’t stop ball.movement by taking many shots, i think that could work.

UncledrewParticipantOladipo is there best offensive player so he’s a lock. Gordon size athleticism and versatility easily puts him in the top 3. The last spot for me would be hezonja. He’s similar to Fournier but has more 2 way upside and potential as a scorer with a size advantage. To me they should trade Payton and vucevic. Although they are 2 of the more all around players on Orlando, I think the franchise would better suited using them as trade assets. They won’t get much better as players. Vucevic won’t get more athletic or protect the rim and Payton will never be able to hit a jumpshot so cash in while there value is high.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI don’t like the idea of playing Payton and oladipo together so since I can only take one I’d go with oladipo. He hasn’t had the kind of breakout season I anticipated but I still love his defensive ability and think he will eventually develop into one of the better two way guards in the league. I’d prefer to see him handling the ball more but he still needs some work on his decision making.
I think you need to keep vucevic despite his defensive shortcomings. He is one of the elite offensive bigs in the game imo and a guy that you can throw the ball into the low post and will either get you a bucket or command a double most of the time. Those players are rare today. I’d put him in the same class as guys like al Jefferson and Brook Lopez.
Tough call between hezonja and Gordon. Love Gordon’s athleticism and potential but he is still figuring out how to use it to be effective in an actual game. Hes kind of a tweener who isn’t really skilled enough to play on the wing or strong enough to play in the post, but he can create havoc on the court with his athletic ability. I think hezonja has the potential to be a special player offensively eventually, so I couldn’t give up on him yet but it will take some time. He hasn’t played much this season.

A Lil EnglishParticipantFournier is clutch on offense and Vucevic is hard to stop too but i don’t think they are as good two ways as Oladipo, Hezonja & Gordon. I would like to see them keep them all + Payton. They earned this talent after the Dwight/Van Gundy mess and I think they have really drafted well.
