Good move on their end. Could be a starter for them at PG next year if there arent better options.

A nice add in terms of talent. Rooting for it to work out.

Is he eligible for the playoffs… oh wait… probably doesn’t matter.

I was a big Tony Wroten supporter but he never developed a jumper and he Turns the ball over a ton…

I would play him at most 10-14 minutes per game, he is not a better Pg than Jerian Grant…

Makes sense for Jackson – he loves big PGs and Wroten is a respectable jumper away from being a solid starter.

I think playing in the triangle will cut down on his turnovers and he could flourish in the pick and roll with Porzingis.

Good, low-risk high-reward move for the Knicks.

Tony played pretty well last season in Philly but never really got it going this year. He can get in the paint at will so playing with some guys that can actually shoot like Porzingis and Melo should really help him out.

He needs to improve his shot and work on his turnovers but he is still only 22. He likely won’t ever be a starting level PG in the league but I could see him becoming a stellar sixth man if he refines his game.

He’s not a good basketball player by any standard so I’m not sure of the excitement. He’s like a taller Rondo without the passing ability and a much lower IQ. He doesn’t do anything well get to the free throw line where he shoots a career 64%. Outside of that he turns the ball over way too often to even be a legitimate NBA backup.

Tony Wroten in theory is the worst possible PG for the triangle offense. Its actually quite funny. He has absolutely no jump shot shooting a career 25% from 3-point and literally only hitting 1 midrange jump shot in the last two years! Tony may struggle playing with a ball dominant Carmelo. He has amazing talent but that shot is bad and he is very turnover prone.

With that being said I’m a big time supporter of his development and think New York is a perfect place for him to develop. Calderon thrives were Wroten struggles and could teach him a lot. Jose has always been the type to teach younger players. He will be forced to improve the parts of the game that are slowing forcing him out of the league.

in the 1st round of the 2012 NBA Draft…… Wroten was an Electrifying Athlete w/ an Explosive first step….. & Wroten was literally unstoppable when he wanted to get to the Rim……

Wroten played Only one year at the University of Washington…… And he is Still only 22 years old….. Wroten will turn 23 next month (April 2016)……

Wroten steadily improved in his 3 NBA seasons until he had a severe ACL tear last season while w/ the 76ers…… The problem w/ Wroten has Always been that he was a One Trick Pony….. His FG% from 2pt range was never terrible b/c he can get to the rim…… but he is a Turn Over machine & his outside shot – especially from 3 point range has been Awful……

Put it this way, when Wroten Averaged 23% 3pt% in his first 3 NBA seasons it was a MASSIVE Improvement from college where he avg 16% from 3pt range his One college season…..

but he was So young & so talented that even though Wroten could Not fit the New NBA model of outside / 3 pt shooting…. Phila believed they could develop him b/c they thought he could work in a fast paced transition offense….. But he couldn’t do it……

When Wroten returned from his ACL tear around November….. his outside shot was Even Worse….. his 3pt% dropped from 23% to 17%…… And if that wasn’t bad enough….. he Lost a step….. So the one thing he COULD do….. he could No Longer do……..

he might just have needed more time… & the Knicks are struggling so badly at PG …. Anyone is worth a try….. & Wroten is Still very young…… he’s only a few months older than Dunn & Hield….. I hope it works out b/c I would LUV to see the Knicks in the Playoffs…..

He’s a nice pick up, the Knicks badly need bench depth and he can give them scoring in this area. It’s a good time for both sides to join up too, he has 20 odd games to get his head around the Knicks system this season so he can hit pre season running and really have the system nailed come regular 2016-17 season.

Tony is young, probably a cheap pick up and he’ll see playing time in NY so a good fit for both sides.
