Robb_CParticipantAfter being negged unmercifully before the beginning of the season for calling Skal overrated and telling you all he was the next Channing Fyre, Take a look at NBAdraft.nets new mock looks like they see it too.. Now where you at SkalandJamal??

Chilbert arenasParticipantI think it’s a fair NBA comparison but Frye was a back to the basket player in college and developed his three point shot a few years into his NBA career with the Suns.

Robb_CParticipantWhen I compare players I typically look at common weakness oppose to common strength, This make it a lot easier to address why a player plays a certain way.. Like I said before the season started, the case of Skal and Frye both lacking the lower body strength to play and defend in the post is the reason for both of their games drifting to the outside to find offense.. There are numerous similarities I see in both of Skal and Fryes game..
Frye could compete in the post towards the end of his college career, I think Skal can do the same.. Skal should stay two years

DrivingDownTheStreetinmy64So far during his freshman season we ain’t seen the Skal we saw during the summer circuit!!! Right now He’s basically a jump shooting big man like Frye!!!!!!!!! So the comparison is fair!!! Because He aint showed the fancy footwork or the many versatile offensive moves we seen from him in the past!!!!!!!!!! But looking at the type of player he possibly can be in 2 or 3 years from now the player he will be compared to is Dirk!!! !!!!

joe2324ParticipantI think the Channing Frye comparison is being very generous. I think this kid needs to stay in college for a few years to really develop; otherwise, I think he’ll be lost out there in the NBA. Yes, sometimes people here get very sensitive when you don’t talk up a prospect as the next superstar and start to crititize their game. Anyone, if he stays at least another year or 2 I think the Frye comparison makes sense.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantDid you happen to look at what they said before the season? This site was very high on Skal saying
"
Coming into this season he was projected as a likely No. 1 or No. 2 pick in the June NBA draft. Before the season started http://www.nbadraft.net posted this about Labissiere: "His combination of elite physical tools, great work ethic, and mentality separates him from most of his peers and provides him with huge, untapped potential." The analysis talked about his "great footwork and advanced scoring arsenal" and praised his shot blocking instincts and ability to rebound in his own area.
