    My list begins with Maravich for his ability to handle the ball like no one else could and his shooting ability. Michael Jordan has to be considered for his all-around greatness and charisma. Others on my list include (in no particular order) Dominique Wilkins, Darryl Griffith, David Thompson, Julius Erving, Magic Johnson, Nate Archibald, Vince Carter, and Steve Nash.

      micheal jordan was the best and will always be the best!!….but lebron might have something to say when his career is done..and kobe of course he has five solid years left in his tank its amazing cuz he has been playin in the Nba since he was 17 scary!!….

    vince carter dunked the ball so many times in a game and they where different dunks not like lebron why wouldn’t it be fun to watch but i think right now i think lebron funnest to watch

    Passing: Nash, Stockton, Magic

    I’ve always liked the way nash plays. his passing is pretty awesome and when he shoots over bigger guys and drains it, it is pretty sweet.

    You got to go with Maravich or Connie Hawkins. Maravich did plays other nba stars could only dream of like that crazy wrist pass he could do down the length of the court. For people who have seen Connie Hawkins play, he was amazing, too. Hawkins did crazy acrobatic moves and is one of the few people I have seen who can ENTIRELY palm a basketball. It is an absolute shame the Hawk did not get into the NBA until he was 27 years old, when his body had already been so beat up from ooposing players demolishing him due to his worth and talent and the fact that he never had a decent trainer to treat him properly for his injuries. In college though, Dr. Dunkenstein was the man. He could really soar.

    I’m sure Maravich and Connie were two of the most exciting ever, but I’m not gonna act like I watched them play their whole careers because I’ve seen some highlights. Anybody’s highlights can make them look more amazing then they really were. I did watch one full game of Pistol Petes recently, and he looked good, but not as amazing as his legend would make you think. He pulled up for a lot of free throw line jumpers and threw a lot of regular looking passes. I know it is hard to compare era’s but if you put guys like Kobe or Vince in the 70’s and they would have blown people away. I got the feeling that people like to talk about people from the past because it makes them seem like they know more about the game, not saying you are.

    I don’t think one game is reflective of a players’ career. I’ve seen him play dozens of games, and he was truly a special talent. I’m not saying he was the greatest player of all-time, but he was so far ahead of his time, it was unbelievable. Maravich was in the 70’s with a skillset of a 21st cenury player without a time machine. That’s what made him unique.

    In today’s era, too many many people look a guy up on the internet and maybe see a highlight and judge a player. I’m not saying anyone in particular, just a generality. You really have to see a guy play more than a couple oh highlight or by watching a game or 2 to really make a judgement in most cases. However by watching a Maravich highlight reel, you get a pretty good idea of some of his talents, and that’s the kind of things that made him the NBA’s most exciting player.

    I think some of the older peolple talk about plyers of yesterday because they compare to players of today, just as we look at high school players and say this player has the same skills as so and so. I don’t think most are trying to look smarter. Just my opinion.

    I would have to say Michael Jordan and Vince Carter… but my favorite tandem would have to be Jason Williams and C-Webb on the Kings. Every game had 3 top ten ESPN plays lol

    VC is probably #1 on my list (I’m not old enough to have seen Dr J, Maravich, etc)
    AI~ that sick ass cross was a thing of beauty to watch, as well as scoring over 5 other guys taller than him.
    TMac- when he scored 13 in 35 seconds…
    CP3, J Will & Steve Nash make everyone around them more exciting to watch…

    i’m hoping in 5 years my answer is Timberwolf All-Star Ricky Rubio….

    Amare was fun to watch for me, in his breakout year before he got hurt. He punished the rim and the defender anytime he got near the hole.
