Denver fans: I’ve noticed lately that your boy Nikola Jokic is playing some excellent basketball as the starting Center for the Nuggets. He has a very interesting blend of size, shooting ability, court vision, and even his defense is improving. I remember coach Malone lamenting his D earlier in the season… but now he’s looking closer to league average on that side of the floor. Not bad for a Rook. Do you think his recent play will sustain the rest of the season? Or is this simply a hot streak? I gotta say, I think you have a great piece moving forward.

Laker Fans: If Jokic can continue to do what he’s doing, would it be crazy for Mitch Kupchak to pick up the phone to discuss a deal involving Jusuf Nurkic? And would Denver even be motivated to consider? Personally, with Nurkic’s injury history & efficiency issues on offense, I would make the call and see if he could be had on the cheap. If you’re the Lakers and start selling off some of your veterans (i.e Lou Williams & Hibbert) maybe Jusuf could be included as part of a 3 team transaction? Either way, I’m intrigued by a young 3 man platoon at PF & Center with Randle/Nance/Nurkic

I wish the Lakers could acquire a young talented center with our spare parts.  But Denver has no incentive go move either one yet.

Jokic has been a great pick up by Denver with Nurkic out injured but I don’t see Denver looking to move either of them at all at this moment. Jokic is only 20, Nurkic 21 so they still have plenty of time to develop and can share front court minutes easily.

If Denver were to consider moving either they would want something decent in return and it would probably need at least a 3 team deal as High Floor suggests as Lakers haven’t got great assets among players they would consider trading.

No way Denver will move Nurk right now. 1) They have him on the cheap for 2 1/2 more years 2) his value isn’t at it’s best while he’s still not back to full strength 3) He’s their best interior defender by quite a bit. They get killed inside when he’s not out there.

A team might be able to poach Joffrey right now while there’s not a lot of room in the rotation for him, but Nurkic and Jokic aren’t going anywhere unless it’s for a star

Lakers need to reevaluate their off season pick ups and draft picks. L Williams and Hibbert in my opinion were a waste of time pick ups, neither one can really contribute to the level that the lakers as a franchise would require. Last years draft pick in deangelo Russell is a bust, its still early and he has time to prove himself but I have an eye for talent and i just dont see his transitioning in the NBA. They should have drafted Prozingis or Okafor, these guys have size and skill at worst.

Im a lakers fan and i want them to focus on getting that one star that will attract the rest.
