The Scare Crow RisesParticipantNoel, Okafor or Embiid?
Simply put, let’s say 1 of the 3 had to be traded at the deadline or night of the NBA Draft, which one would you choose to Trade away for a young G with All-star potential…
I love all 3 guys but I understand 1 of them may have to go, especially with versatile F Dario Saric coming over and Rachuan Holmes playing efficient basketball in his 1st year…
I’m far too close to the situation to make a rational decision…
I’d probably keep all my players until I see what I have in Saric and Embiid for a full season, if Joel is anywhere near the prospect he was projected to be I’m not sure what the 76ers would do…
So who would you trade and for what kind of player…
I’d target a guy like Devin Booker, who can fill that SG hole we’d have even if we add Simmons/Brown/Ingram at SF
Embiid to Phoenix for Booker and Markief Morris? That Phoenix training staff was legendary for their ability to help players regain their health, if they did it for Embiid, watch out, we just got screwed

festar35ParticipantPhilly will have an abundance of talent no matter who they choose to trade out of the 3, personally I think it’ll be Okafor as Noel will allow Embiid to be that main post presence as well and Noel is a defensive freak who will have a far better chance keeping up with the smaller 4’s in the game today.
As for what Philly could get in return for Okafor they will have Embiid, Noel, Saric and another draft pick in terms young talen it could be Simmons, Ingram, Brown or Dunn depending on where they draft. I think what Philly will need at that point is some veteran leadership or at least guys that have been in the league enough to show them how to work and get things done, even to show them how to win.
In terms of a vet I don’t think they just give away Okafor, but get a vet with some solid talent and maybe pick up another player or 2 to help like Garnett and Prince in Minny.

TravelinTravParticipantqhy would they make a trade? I know it’s the topic of the thread but why would they trade anyone? Their whole plan is to keep drafting a top pick every year and hope. Why they take only centers is beyond me. Who knows if Embiid will ever play or be any good. I’ve never seen Sarik film so I can’t judge, I like Okefar a lot and Noel as well. If you want to ditch either one trade to the TWolves we need another big. Or just keep drafting and hope for the next MJ. Good luck

markfitz14ParticipantAfter the season I put both Noel and Okafor on the block and field calls. If I got a great offer I would pull the trigger. I would want an established or budding guard or wing. Screw draft picks at this point the team is rebuilt enough. These 2 guys have value I would want NBA talent back in return. I would trade who ever I got a good offer for.

nill650Participantembiid is now looking like the next greg oden,so you can throw him in with a 1st round pick and maybe get some end of the bench players that are either too old or too inexperienced to get playing time anywhere but in philly.
they should not trade noel or okafor

MopgrassParticipantThis question’s been posed a lot on here. I still say trade Okafor for Schroeder. I keep hearing the Hawks might lose Horford. Okafor would be an amazing replacement on day 1 and they under use Schroeder. I like Schroeder for the Sixers because he can make things happen. The draw back is that he isn’t great from range and they need that. If they got him, it’d be smart to take Ingram (though you know they go with Simmons if they pick 1st). If they got the Lakers pick, Jamal Murray or Buddy Hield would be great. Between SG and SF they’d have great shooting and they’d have a very well rounded team.

negguaryParticipantyou can’t be serious? Okafor for Schroeder? have you actually watched a sixers game this year or base your opinions off of the forums?

nill650Participantphilly has more problems than getting a better pg. trading the only player they picked in the past 3 yrs in okafor that actually makes an impact offensively is just clueless.

Butter13ParticipantI’d trade Noel since he seems to have the least upside of the 3 (assuming Embiid can play).

EndlessknightParticipantThe problem is all 3 currently have depressed trade values. Embiid due to injury and the other two due to misuse from playing together. If Noel played C full time he would be at 14 point, 10 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per night, in fact his per36 totals are already close to that. Same with Okafor, if he didn’t have to split time at C he would easily average 20 a night; his per36 is nearly 21 now.
I’ve completely written off Embiid. Anything they get from him is gravy. But I’m a huge fan of Noel and Okafor. Noel could easily be the best defensive center in the NBA in a couple years and Okafor should be a top 5 scorer as soon as his 2nd or 3rd year. That said I still don’t see how they can achieve their full individual potentials play together.
As for which one I’d trade, it would come down to what’s being offered. My preference is to keep Noel but If someone was willing to give a top 2 pick I would give up either of them plus take a bad contract back in return. But that requires waiting ‘til the lottery to see how the ping pong balls play out.

Hype MachineYou could be waiting a while for that top-2 pick trade offer for Nerlens.
Ya’ll cant be serious with these homer trade ideas.
