Greekballinit’s funny though how this team without Thompson and Barnes look.. Takes 2 OT to beat Boston lol? Let’s go back to the finals and see how Curry would fare against the Cavs without Thompson and Green or Barnes whatever.. He would have lost 4-0 against a healthy Cavs team.. Yet Lebron gets so much hate.. SMH

Gold ChainMy feed switched audio too. Maybe Silver told them to pull the plug on Celtics broadcast after Tommy Heinsohn said the league must want the streak to continue. Then Tommy said it’s hard enough beating the Warriors, and then having to beat the refs as well.
$ilver didn’t like that, I bet.

PulseGlazerParticipantBoston is legitimately very good, Greek. You sound like someone stuck on names not games.
The reffing wasn’t great, but it was certainly by no means terrible. Boston shot jumpers so they got less free throws, while the Warriors, without their usual array of shooters, attacked more.

BleedGreen808ParticipantNot sure if you watched the whole game or not but there were some awful calls. Just some examples are Bradley picking up his 4th foul on a clean steal and Steph Curry getting his 4th when he wasn’t even in the play.

Jr. ROXASParticipantTommy Heinsohn is the worst, most annoying color commentator in the NBA.

mcbaileyParticipantWas anyone watching the live look-in on NBA TV? I’m assuming it was the Celtics broadcast they were showing, and it was legitimately the worst thing I’ve ever heard. It was a cookie cutter play-by-play guy with, apparently, someone’s disgruntled grandpa from the local area. Neither offered anything of substance, and the color commentator/angry old man only ever really said "go to the basket" and "that was a foul"…when he was saying anything at all. More often than not, it was either dead silence or audible groaning.
That aside, Boston put up a good fight, but they really need something more in late game situations than Isaiah Thomas looking for contact and throwing up bricks.

GreekballinPulseGlazer seriously, you are terrible, go watch back the tapes and come back to me when you’re done.. Curry was bad in that game too, let the negs rain.

SkalAndJamalParticipantBoth got calls. Andedote to beat the Warriors though: perimeter defense, 3s, and low post offense.

PulseGlazerParticipantIt helps if a few of the Warriors are hurt, too.
I honestly think the Spurs have an awesome shot. Lamarcus can shoot over anyone, and they should be able to own the offensive glass, and Kawhai can cover literally anyone on the Warriors 4th quarter rotation.

GreekballinThe Spurs and OKC has a real shot against them, we haven’t seen the matchup yet.
Cavs team with Kyrie will be legit I am telling you.. People seem to forget that this kid dropped 57 pts on the Spurs at SA, he is special.. He guarded Curry pretty well too in the finals when he was able to play..

Gold ChainCeltics are just going to keep getting better all year. One of the youngest teams in the NBA, guys like Olynyk, James Young especially, Marcus Smart, Sullinger, and the 3 rookies (Rozier, RJ Hunter, Mickey) are just going to keep improving at a higher rate than veteran teams like the Spurs, Warriors, Thunder, or Cavs.
Not saying the Celtics will be better than any of those teams, but they very well might be better than some of them by the end of the year.

Memphis MadnessParticipantThe League NEEDS the Warriors to be undefeated when they face the Cavs on Christmas Day.
Jerry West is on the Warriors payroll. He was the lead guard on the 33 win streak Lakers team. Maybe he knows what’s up…
I hope they at least get to the Cavs game undefeated. That would be MUST WATCH TV.
But, hopefully other teams don’t job to them.
I would even like to see them break the Bulls’ all time record.
BUT, if they win more than 74 or 75 games it will make the league look like a joke.
Yeah, so no 80 and 2 BS.
That would mean that the NBA has hit its all-time peak and it’s all down hill from here.
It could STILL be peaking out on a historical basis.
Who knows?
After the ’72 Lakers team won 33 straight and won the title vs. the Knicks the league never really got going again until Magic/Bird showed up…
Could be seeing another TOP in the NBA.
1972. 24 years later to 1996 Bulls. Now, almost 20 years later we are seeing the Warriors roll.
If I were running the NBA I would try to get the Knicks all the help they can get. Market Porzingas without overhyping him, and then get Ben Simmons on the Lakers.
Lakers-Knicks could be a legit rivalry again, the first time since the early Seventies.
Boston will have a great pick, too, in the upcoming draft. Hopefully they draft well.

joe2324Participantgo watch the kings vs lakers 2002 game 7 western conference finals if you want to see poorly officiated game. kings were best team that year and got robbed big time. The Kings were that much better than the lakers that it took a HERCULEAN effort from the officals to take the Kings down in that game.

SkalAndJamalParticipantLol and this is the topic that separates my knowledge from the rest of you guys. The whole series was rigged to go 7 games, not have the Lakers win. Stern was on record of saying the Kings were his favorite team, why would he force them to lose? The Lakers did have game 6 in their favor, that is correct… However, Game 2 was rigged for the Kings, Game 3 was rigged for the kings… Just go check the FT differential in these games. The idea was to get more $ for TV time, and you do that by making it go 7, not the Lakers winning it.
