WhatGoesAroundParticipantAll-American Teams So Far:
1st Team
C- Jakob Poeltl, Utah
F- Ben Simmons, LSU- POY.
F- Denzel Valentine, MSU- POY runner-up.
G- Buddy Hield, OU
G- Kris Dunn, Providence2nd Team
C/F- Pascal Siakam, NMSU- ‘Most likely to move up the list’ #1, Most Improved, Most ‘Where the hell did this guy come from’ winner.
F- Kyle Wiltjer, Gonzaga
F- Michael Gbinje, SYR- Top choice on 2nd team.
G- Melo Trimble, Maryland
G- Tyler Ullis, UK3rd Team
C/F- Georges Niang, ISU
F- Joey King, Minnesota- On here due to incredible efficiency and shooting ability (50-40-90).
F- Caris LaVert, Mich.
G- Grayson Allen, Duke
G- Tyrone Wallace, Cal- ‘Most likely to fall off list’ #1 (See Paige, UNC).On the Cusp
C/F- Adam McKay, ISU- On here for intangibles and energy provided to a top 5 team.
F- Ryan Anderson, Ariz
F- Malcolm Brogden, VA- More of a SG but can handle some SF.
G- Bryant McIntosh, Northwestern- Clutch and efficient.
G- Marcus Paige UNC- ‘Most likely to move up the list’ #2 (Only one game so far….but impactful). All ‘Most-Disappointing Start to the Season’ Team
C- Skal Labissiere, UK- Not fair to this young big….but going to UK brings big expectations right off the bat.
F- Nigel Hayes, Wis.- Lead dog status dropped on him by default, struggling.
F- Brandon Ingram, Duke- Much like Labissiere, unfair immediate expectations. Often looks uninterested.
G- Isaiah Taylor, UT- More of a personal choice……I guess I expected Shaka Smart to magically be able to make him a more efficient player and a better shooter right away. Oh well.
G- Fred Van Vleet, WSU (On here strictly due to not being healthy for fans to watch and team’s trouble without him).0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/04/2015 - 3:53pm #1028892

ProudGrandpaParticipantValentine should be POY. His team is winning games, and honestly, I think his numbers are more impressive.

Mad MaxParticipantI, like everyone else, am not impressed with Skal. And really I’m not that high on him at all with his potential (I don’t see it, I think he’s just not that good/overrated. Just my opinion) but last season in the early parts of the season I remember Towns not being very impressive or impactful and thinking he wasn’t maybe as good as I thought, but eventualy he put it together and you saw his talent and now he’s already a really good NBA player in year one. So while I just don’t think Skal will be very special and is over hyped, it still is early and big guys take longer typically to develop. Having young guards and a young team that still has yet to mesh and figure out an identity on offense is also hurting Skal, who is dependent on the guards getting him the ball in good spots to make plays.
