The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThe more I see the more I like from Ingram
He’ll be a SG in the NBA, I think he has some truly scary potential on the wing at 6’8-6’9
He could look outstanding next to Noel and Okafor, makes up for the lack of a scorer on the Wing and could handle some Pg duties while a guy like Wroten plays 6th man
I know Simmons is the sexy pick and BPA at the moment, but Ingram looks like a perfect consolation prize if we land the 2nd or 3rd pick again(Draft Gods need to help us out a little here)
In my dream draft day scenario we walk away with Simmons with our #1 overall Pick, and make a blockbuster Trade for Ingram using the LA lottery pick and other assets(Embiid or Saric, maybe the Miami and OkC picks too)overall
That way we’d have a versatile back court and wing between Ingram/Simmons/Stauskas/Wroten with our eyes on PG in 2017 or Free Agency
Our front court is set with Noel/Okafor/Saric and Embiid???, we wouldn’t need to target a guy like Skal, thus making our choice easy, Simmons and/or Ingram for that SG and SF spot, Stauskas and Covington would be better used as role players…

circumlocution75ParticipantSixers Not taking Simmons if they have the chance…. but a bunch of us have been debating this all day b/c Ingram looks SO good & if Phila does get the Lakers pick how great Murray & Ingram would look together in the same Uni…. I don’t think you can go wrong w/ any of these top 5 guys (obviously Phila would not be looking at Labissiere –
If I was a Sixers fan my Main hope would be that you guys get that Lakers pick…. B/c I can’t see the Lakers pick falling out of the Top 5 in the 2016 Draft….. & if you guys are able to land 2 of the top 5 in This Draft & add it to what you already have in the front court….. My Lord – u guys in Phila would really be cookin with chicken grease!

Ebown5ParticipantHe will be a wing in the nba, and could easily play a lot as a shooting guard. He has to improve his handle, but he seems like a long guard to me.
Befor the season I was thinking that he was definitely a 3 in the nba, but after watching him play a bit, he just seems like a ridiculously long guard.

Juice4o2ParticipantYou take the can’t miss prospect and the best player available. Hinkie will do his research and who ever he feels is the best player in the draft, he’ll select with what ever pick we happened to land. I really do hope it’s Simmons but I also like guys like Jaylen Brown and the toughness he exerts when he drives the lane.

SkalAndJamalParticipantno no no no.
1. Ingram is going to be a role player in the nba. He knew this all the way until he had one good mcdonalds all-american game and then everyone was trying to call him the next KD, then he changed his mind when all that hype came. Ppl need to stop.
2. Jamal is much better than Ingram.
3. Coming from a guy who has Jamal in his damn username, it would be absolutely absurd to take Jamal over Ben if you are the sixers. They need to take the best prospect, regardless of position and Ben is not only a better player now but has a higher ceiling than Jamal. Sixers need to just get the best players they can get until they are not the gutter of the league, and then once they are out of the gutter, then start getting pieces that fit their core.

FrankStalloneHow is the guy without a jump shot the "can’t miss" guy, and the guy with the sweet stroke from everywhere the role player.
Simmons might have flair, but so did Jennifer Aniston in Office Space.

Magic JordanParticipantLebron James had the same knocks on his game when he came into the league. I’d say things turned out okay for him. A jumpshot is highly correctable, and Simmons is not broken. He just has zero incentive to use it.
So quick to treat these kids as finished products.
Leave, nobody wants you here.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI don’t believe I ever said the 76ers should DRAFT Ingram BEFORE Ben Simmons, I asked if they should TARGET Igram instead of Ben Simmons due to FIT and LIKELYHOOD WE JUST DON’T LAND THE #1 PICK
We need 2 WING Players that Compliment our FRONT Court, which is going to be stacked once Saric and Embiid lace up their shoes next year, adding a F like Ben may crowd the lane a bit even If he is a tremendous individual talent…The better fit may be a Player that can develop into a dual threat on the outside, a 3 point sniper/Slasher like Ingram could be a T Mac like Sg/Sf when he gets a little older, I have the sense he’ll be a SG to start his career and will make an impact by year 2-3, If we landed Picks 2 and 5 via the Lakers, I’d wouldnt think twice about drafting Ingram or Brown 2nd overall and Jamal Murray 5th…
The best case scenario may actually be winning the 3rd pick as long as 2 Teams not named the Lakers win 1 and 2, that way some lucky team walks away with Ben Simmons and the other selects Skal 2nd, leaving us with the Easy choice of Ingram or Brown at 3 and BPA with the Lakers pick (Murray, Brown or Ingram could still be there in this scenario)
Murray may jump into the Top 3 range by the end of the Year too, so he may switch draft position with a guy like Ingram or even Jaylen Brown and we may have no choice but to take Ingram and Brown, which is crazy to think about…

Ballboy HypeParticipantI love the potential Brandon Ingram has but I still believe he is a bit raw in his skilly. Right now, he needs to put on another 15-20 pounds to adhere to the physical demand the NBA possesses day in day out. Brown is the smarter choice because he has the ability to defend positions 1-4 in the NBA and has the offensive skillset to be successful.
