Preseason Review - Olynyk Effect is the Elephant in the Room

What is the Olynyk Effect? It’s when tall unassuming guy makes a much bigger impact than his stats by stretching the floor out to the 3 point line, while playing selfless team first ball.
Preseason records can be misleading, but more misleading are rosters that look good on paper but don’t fit well together on the court, and lack the Olynyk Effect.
Let’s take a look, division by division:
Boston – duh
Toronto – Carroll bringing that 3 point shot to the PF position in small ball lineups
Knicks – Porzingis and Derrick Williams stretching out to 3 point line
Central
IND – PG13 and Myles Turner stretching that floor to the 3 point line from PF and C
CHI – mediocre 4-4 record, but Mirotic now in the starting lineup and Gasol bringing dat Olynyk Effect from center
DET and MIL? Suck. No O.E.
South East
Charlotte (7-1) Kaminsky and Hawes bringing that O.E.
Orlando (6-2) Frye has been starting some games at PF, with Tobias also bringing that O.E.
Northwest
Denver (4-3) suprising with the super-underrated Nikola Jokic whose O.E. index is off the charts.
Portland (3-4) not a great record, but they should be better than expected, with Leonard bring ing that 7 foot O.E.

Olynyk hasn’t done jack in this league so it shouldn’t be named after him. Should be called the Draymond Effect since "stretching the floor out to the 3 point line, while playing selfless team first ball" is exactly what he made mainstream last year.

I kinda like this type of trolls. Severely underrated in my opinion. Other trolls just say bs… This guys created a character who overrates all of Boston players for our amusement.

Whats with the bible hair. It’s like he’s pulling a Billy Ho move by intentionally looking like a chump so they underestimate him.
Still wondering if the bush league play on Kevin Love was intentional or not.

  Very true. I may be way off, but I thought they looked better with Stanley running point guard before Reggie Jackson came back for game 3 or something in the preseason.
