The first one is over and it’s already kind of an upset. Czech Republic routs Croatia 80-59. Jan Vesely had 20 points on 9/12 shooting,2/2 from the line. Tomas Satoransky, said to join the Wizards next year, had 10 points and 11 assists,bu he has to be careful,he often gets out of control when the defense gets tight. He had some bad turnovers at the end,but a very good talent . Croatia scored 2 points in the first 8:30 of the second half… Incredible. They tried a miracle come back but came none closer than 13 points. Vesely had some electrifying dunks again. Hezonja scored 10,Bogdanovic scored 12 for Croatia. You wonder how much the concussion Bogdanovic suffered in the first game influenced him(his shooting was horrible after that),and his team.

To answer your question Robb_C,I think Serbia and Lithuania should prevail, but Israel-Italy will be the game to watch. Both pretty inconsistent teams, some NBA talent(Gallo,Belinelli,Bargnani vs Casspi, all of them playing extremely well),Israel is kind of a surprise team. I have a hard time predictin this game.

Second game of the day over and no upset this time. Serbia 94-80 Finland. Serbia pulled away late just like Spain did yesterday,in the fourth quarter. Raduljica led all scorers with 27 on 11/12 shooting(!),future T’wolf Nemanja Bjelica had 19 pts and 14 rebounds on 8/13 shooting,1/3 from three…Minnesota just got a baller. Bogdanovic(2014 Suns draft pick) had 10. Except Greece,I don’t see a team beating Serbia or France till the final. Finland did what they usually do,shoot threes at a crazy rate,it’s entertaining but also frustating at times. But I hope to see them for years to come on the international stage, they’re really fun to watch, just lack size/physicality(kinda matters in basketball).

Robb_C:Eurobasket2015 site is really well done.

I wouldn’t watch the last 2 games ,but I was off on my predictions. Italy ROUTED Israel 82-52 in a game that,I thought, would be the most interesting of the day. Gentile(Houston draft and stash) scored 27. That Italian team is looking really good right now.

Lithuania-Georgia. Real Madrid player Maciulis scored 34,as Lithuania hangs on and advances to face Italy in what could be a terrific game.

    Quarter finals will be:

    Tuesday:Spain-Greece 12.30 pm

    France Latvia 3pm

    Wednesday:Serbia-Czech Republic 12.30 pm

    Italy-Lithuania 3 pm.
