Memphis MadnessParticipantGrizz get Brandan Wright for $6 million a year. Love him as a Z Bo backup as well as a small ball backup center.
He can finish inside, defend, block shots and rebound. Good third big.
Guess it means Kosta Koufos will sign somewhere else or we do a sign and trade. Also looks like last year’s second round pick Jarnell Stokes is the odd man out.

Bmore_DCParticipantLove this pickup by the Grizzlies! I think Wright is really under-rated and they got him for pretty cheap. Looks like ownership is willing to spend and i dont think this rules out Koufos re-signing. You can never have too many big guys, especially when Z-Bo is getting up there in age.

Memphis MadnessParticipantBmore, maybe we sign Koufos to a 1 year deal. Doubt it though.
The Grizzlies might just see if KK waits too long in free agency. Then at some point prices come down.
Or, we do a sign and trade. I am thinking Koufos and Calathes to the Cavs for Brendan Haywood would work. Then you cut him save money, and spend the rest on some more depth. If Wright is the backup center as a small ball guy I don’t wanna over pay a 4th big/3rd string center.
Alex Kirk is on our summer league team so he might be the backup backup center.
I would rather spend money on a young 3 and D small forward.

sitlbitoParticipantOne of the best moves in free agency so far. Wow what a bargain. Now if they sign Mo Williams, include Jordan Adams in the rotation,3pt shooting could improve. And if it does…watch out for the Grizz.

Lotto StudParticipantI love Brandan Wright’s jump hook! He really elevates unlike most bigs inside of the paint. Also, he was scoring 75% from the field while in Dallas within 27 games being played. Very effecient player who I can say has aged like fine wine as a player under the age of 30-years-old. He gets better the more he is reserved in his roles.

King CaluchaParticipantHe did OK in Dallas.
This probably means Memphis isn’t bringing Koufos back. I’m sure the Knicks will push hard to sign him now. That is exactly the player they need for the triangle. He can play both sides a little.
