LA Lakers have reached Summer League agreements with undrafted rookies Robert Upshaw & Brandon Ashley …..The pair will join a stacked Lakers teams that will feature Julius Randle,Jordan Clarkson,D’Angelo Russell,Larry Nance jr,Anthony Brown among others….

I’m still shocked they took Russell over Okafor but I do like that they’re giving Upshaw a chance he has pretty good upside. I just think they made the glamor over substance pick here. I like both as players but I’m surprised they passed on a skilled big man on the hopes of being able to sign one in free agency.

Upshaw is better than Sacre. It would have been less surprising for them to pick Upshaw with the 27th pick than Larry Nance.

in 2012 when he was 19, larry nance jr. made a tweet calling kobe a rapist…that he just deleted last night after learning he was going to be a laker..mitch kupchak said kobe & larry nance jr. would have to work it out themselves….lol..

Upshaw is a very good player. Even if his offense never develops, he should be able to contribute with his defense and rebounding. Does anybody really know why he got kicked out from college?
