Although it seems highly unlikely DeMarcus Cousins will get traded, I feel the best trade partner for the Sacramento Kings would be the Atlanta Hawks. If I was Vlade Divac I would immediately send DeMarcus Cousins & Jason Thompson, to the Hawks for Al Horford, Kyle Korver, Mike Scott, the 15th pick, and the draft rights to Walter Tavares. After doing that deal, I then would trade the 6th pick to the Nuggets for Ty Lawson. A small ball starting line up of Al Horford, Rudy Gay, Kyle Korver, Ben McLemore, Ty Lawson, and Mike Scott as the 6th man will thrive in George Karl’s uptempo offense and will qualify for the playoffs. The Hawks on the other hand finally lands a budding superstar in DeMarcus Cousins.

He would never go play in Atlanta. The Kings should keep Cousins, he has 3 years left on his deal and sign some players around him and if they fail, then think about trading him next offseason.

Not that I agree with the original post, but Cousins is from Alabama, so he might be interested in playing closer to home in Georgia.  I do feel that the Hawks would be a terrible spot for him though.  As they essentially made their great season out of fantastic team camaraderie.  Cousins would squash that.

We all know “ROLE PLAYERS” do not win championships, except for the 2004 Detroit Pistons. You can have a great regular season, but if you burn out in the playoffs it’s pointless. Had John Wall never missed that game due to his wrist injury the Hawks would’ve been ousted in the 2nd round to the Wizards, but instead they were swept in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Cavs. Let’s face it they’re built for the regular season. DeMarcus Cousins as a player and a brand gives them hope on the court and off the court. Boogie’s fame alone will not only put fan’s butts in seats, but he will also make Atlanta a hot bed for big name free agents.

I don’t think it’s a bad idea… for the Kings. The neg gods will likely rain down on me, but I think the Hawks would be offering to much in that deal. 2 all stars in Horford and Korver, one role player in Scott. A guy who I think will be similar to Rudy Gobert, (but not as good cuz Gobert’s on my team) in Tavares, and then probably a decent starter in their 15th pick. (Dekker or Oubre), all for 1 all star in Cousins and a guy who should be on the end of the bench in Thompson. I just don’t like the trade at all. And then you got Ty Lawson for the sixth pick! No way the Kings would do that. Just my opinion though. I’d like you to explain to me why I’m wrong.

Their best course of action is to fire George Karl. He’s toxic.
