Every year there seems to be a guy who fell through the cracks goes in the late second round or undrafted that catches on with a summer league team or in the d-league that eventually creates a nice little niche for themselves in the NBA. Who are some of the guys who you think could turn into a productive player after going in the late second round of not being drafted?

I’ll go first. I think people are sleeping on Sir’Dominic Pointer from St. John’s. I got to see a lot of him this past year and I just love his energy and defensive tinasity. Talk about a high motor player. Obviously his biggest drawback is his jumper/ overall offensive game where he has an ugly shot and gets out of control a lot. But if he can somehow develop a serviceable midrange game I think he has a future as a energy player who plays plus defense on wings.

Alan Williams should make a team. He’s probably the best rebounder in the draft and I think he can hold his position defensively. Good enough for a 4th big man.

Terran Petteway! Scrappy with that dawg intensity.  That can backfire but I believe that he’s a solid off the bench weapon with a decent enough jump shot where he’ll make it in the league.

Tyler Haws. He can be a decent scorer coming from the bench

Still think Quinn Cook will be a good 3 and D PG for a team with a ball dominant star like Cavs, Rockets, OKC etc…
