XYRYXParticipantMultiple sources all report the same thing, that Qualls suffered the injury last week in a workout with the Suns. He said it didn’t feel that bad after he contested a jump shot and landed awkwardly. So he went on to LA for his next workout but couldn’t participate cause his knee felt bad. He then got an MRI in Denver and received the diagnosis and will undergo surgery when the swelling goes back.
I don’t really know much about him but this is exacly the kind of story I don’t want to hear from anyone and on top of all that he already is a father who can’t work in his job for up to 12 months. I know he is one of the best athletes this year and maybe this helps him in the long run to come back from this. At least he kept his optimism saying "A minor setback for Craziest comeback you’ve ever seen.
He was expected to be a 2nd round pick and most likely won’t be drafted now.
Get well young fella, for sure I will follow his path from now on to see how his recovery works out and his career gets a start at some point!

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantYea. This completely sucks. Especially for a guy that was on the fringes of getting drafted. Hate to see stuff like this happen and hope he makes a full recovery.

A Lil EnglishParticipantYea this made me think of DaSean Butler who I loved at WV – he still got drafted didn’t he despite not playing in the league? That should give Qualls more hope.

ZachAttackParticipantSucks to here that… Especially at a workout just what 2 weeks before the draft at the time the injury occurred. Very sad to hear and I wish the best for him. If I was the GM of one of the 55 – 60 pick teams and he was still on the board, no way I’d skip him.
