Here I want to talk about Greek basketball player Tyler Dorsey.

He is set to play as a freshman at University of Oregon next year.

He is 6-4 tall and 180 pounds in weight and he can play in both point guard and shooting guard positions.

He is currently in Greece training with the Greek under-19 national team in preparations for the FIBA Under-19 World Championship.

Here is some videos of him in YouTube playing in high school basketball in USA.

Tyler Dorsey is one of my favourite players in next years freshman class. He is underappreciated but not quite underrated as a dynamic and big scoring gaurd with a smooth game. I think he plays well from day helping replace Young as a productive and efficient scoring gaurd especially with Dylan Ennis transferring as somewhat as a veteran to teach him and help with the workload and Dylan Brooks likely stepping his game up to another level.

His perimeter game seems complete and he projects as an instant offense guy off the bench in the NBA or more depending on how his playmaking and defence progresses.

Dorsey is going to play his first two games with Greek under-19 national team in next couple of days in friendly games against Serbia’s under-19 national team.

Eh, he’s lost some of his luster the last couple of years. Kid used to be a consensus top 10 player in his class.  Now you see him ranked in the 30s and 40s by some scouting services.  He’s not really a point, more so the typical undersized 2 who likes to play on the ball. He can shoot and he likes to shoot though…a lot. He can create his own shot a bit.  I don’t think much of him as an NBA prospect though.  Undersized for the 2, not really a 1.  Small frame, T-Rex arms, not a great athlete in terms of quickness or explosion. Monta should be his muse, but Monta was more talented athletically.
