Dont call it a comeback, we been here for years: The Terrell Stoglin and Nikoloz Tskitishvili edition

BEIRUT: Georgian center Nikoloz Tskitishvili finished with 52 points 22 rebounds and Nadim Souaid added 26 points as Champville scraped past rivals Sagesse 138-130 after double overtime in a dramatic match at Dik al-Mehdi Friday.

Just a week after their bitter 120-118 double overtime defeat against Riyadi in the final of the Dubai international, the green side were part of another thriller. Despite a season-high 74 points from star guard Terrell Stoglin, they slumped to their second defeat this season, handing Riyadi the chance to take the outright lead when they visit Champville Sunday.

Sagesse looked on course for victory after they led by eight points in the first overtime, but Champville did not go down without a fight and tied the game thanks to some fine work from Tskitishvili and Souaid.

Tskitishvili made a couple of triples and scored crucial baskets in the second overtime to help Champville seal an epic 138-130 victory.

Stoglin was the main force for Sagesse throughout the game but his side were too reliant on him, while the offensive burden was evenly shared by Champville.

Sagesse missed star center Julian Khazzouh, sidelined by an ankle injury, paving the way for American center Zeke Marshall to debut in the league in place of compatriot Charles Thomas.
