not surprised.  guess they are going to drop joey dorsey or tarik black to make room.  shouldn’t be too bad for monty as long as terrance jones is still out.  could see some trade demands coming when terrance jones is healthy though (especially considering monty wanted out last year with limited minutes behind asik, jones and howard).

 Only piece that worries me is his shooting. Josh Smith not only has terrible shot selection, but also will take shots away from Harden and Howard. The Rockets need to make Smith remember his Atlanta days in terms of defense and rebounding, but they also need to limit the amount of times Smith has the ball in his hands, especially when away from the rim.

I don’t see how he helps the team at all. If this results in motiejunas getting less minutes, i hope he takes the QO and they lose him. Donatas has earned that starting spot and his minutes.  He shouldn’t relinquish either to one of the worst players in the league.

there goes the Rockets title chances for the next two years. I just don’t see him as a good fit with Dwight and Harden. Unless he accepts a role like being a defensive menace/rebounder and occasional low post operator, I don’t see the Rockets contending. Remember, there’s a reason why 29 other teams passed up on Smith.

if your rocket fan, this is bad news. Josh Smith is like an enhanced version of JR Smith(although not as dumb) Terrible basketball IQ. Ever watch him play? Shot clock just starts and this moron is throwing up some of the worst 3 pointers. He might score 17 points on like 40 shot attempts
