JordanC20ParticipantMavs lead 76ers 73-29 at halftime and it had me thinking…any team that loses by 30 or more should be fined to encourage them to play harder and not tank. These guys make millions and the least they can do is keep things competitve/entertaining being that its their job to do so.

doubledribblerParticipantThat sounds good and all, but have you seen their roster? You can’t really blame the players for the lack of talent. That goes to the ownership and the team decision-makers. You can pay them to play hard, but playing hard when you are light on talent in the NBA isn’t going to do much for you.

theballerwayParticipantIf the Spurs got fined for holding out players for games you would think its only fair. They are damagingthe leagues product in a way. I mean if the Sixers are coming to your town are you gonna buy a ticket would you even take a free ticket? Just saying

MattP31ParticipantSpurs situation is totally different. That was a team with good players on the roster and a good team. The team they were playing charged fans more for that game because it was a premium opponent and the league had the game contracted to be on national TV.
Sixers don’t have the players and it is known that they are going to be very bad. Plus ownership has been clear to the fan base what the direction of the team is in the short term.
And my defense of the Sixers comes as a paying season ticket holder.
