Wow.  So many guards to play for the 2014/15 Suns this year.  Can sub in 3 rotations of guards or have a starting 5 and a 6th man of just backcourt players! Check it out

    Projected lineup

    PF.  Mk Morris / A. Tolliver / S. Randolph

SF.  PJ Tucker / Mc Morris  / T.J. Warren

    C.   M. Plumlee / A. Len

    SG. Bledsoe / G. Green / Z. Dragic / A. Goodwin

    PG.  G. Dragic / I. Thomas / T. Ennis

Probably subtract Goodwin,  Ennis, and Warren and put them on their dedicated D League team for the 12 man roster.  Going to be fun watching the combinati;ons of guards playing this year.  Especially the Double Dragon brothers playing together.  Goodwin is near ready for big team play and could have 6 guards on active roster with Randolph to the D.L.  Any combo of these backcourt and its off to the races!

Nobody knows, including the Suns front office, what the Suns are doing…Completely all over the place. I think they take a huge step back this year and finish around the 38 win mark

What they need to do is use some of these guard assents to up grade the 3,4,5 position. I’m a Ku fan but I see the Morris twins as good 6 and 7 th guys. Also pj tucker is solid but not gonna blow you away at the  3 spot.  I’m not sold on Len and to me plum lee is a good career back up big. Just my two cents.

They need to make a trade. They have way too many backcourt players deserving of time. I could see Gerald Green spending more time at the 3 this year, and the Morris twins holding down the 4 spot.

    C- Plumlee/Len

    PF- Mk Morris/Mc Morris/Randolph/Tolliver

    SF- Green/Tucker/Warren

    SG- Bledsoe/Z. Dragic/Goodwin

    PG- G. Dragic/Thomas/Ennis

Jeff Hornacek has done a good job coaching. There’s a lot of depth here. To me the weakness of the team is at the 4. The Morris twins are solid players, but they do better creating mismatches against second units. I have no idea why the would pay Thomas then draft Ennis, then sign both Bledsoe and Z. Dragic. I assume the signing of Z. Dragic may help them resign G. Dragic when he’s a RFA. However, the signing takes time away from Goodwin who has a lot of potential and played well in summer league.

Gerald Green has been great in Phoenix. Unless they view him as a 6th man, I don’t see why they wouldn’t slide him over and have him start at the 3. He’s a little thin for the position, but G. Dragic, Bledsoe, and Green are monsters on the fast break. Tucker has done a good job being a 3-and-D type player, so I assume he will still get some burn. With that being saidd, Warren played well in summer league and looks like he’s going to be a solid player in this league.

I think Gerald Green is best served as 6th man, his shot selection is sometimes questionable and doesn’t always play within the offense, he can run wild with the 2nd unit which won’t be any slower than the first.

To me they need a solid defensive presence in the low post, Plumlee is good however he is limited and more offensively inclined. Great spark off the bench, but they should try package some of that youth in Ennis, Goodwin, Warren and Len into a starting C. Problem is the guys that would be good I feel their current teams want develop. Good fits IMO would be Dieng, Gobert Sanders (would they want to risk him).

they gotta somehow pull in plumlee so they can have 3 sets of brothers on the same team. Then focus their attention on reeling in the curry’s and lopez’z.

I was BAFFLED at the Alex Len hype in the 2013 draft and I kept saying I wouldn’t touch him in the first round, much less the top five. He is Joel Przybilla at best. That could’ve been Nerlens Noel, Gorgui Dieng, or C.J. McCollum.

Love the T.J. Warren pick, but hate the Tyler Ennis pick. Love the IT signing, hate the Bledsoe contract.

I’m fond of Gerald Green, Mason Plumlee, and the Morrises, but it just feels like the Suns have about a dozen guys who are slightly above average and nobody who is truly dominant.

It’s a very egalitarian philosophy of basketball. I’ll call it the Karl Marx system, as opposed to a system in which there is liberty for higher achievement and the possibility for a player to dominate. I’ll call that the Captain John Smith system.

In college basketball, you can be very successful with the Karl Marx system; get about 12 guys who are all pretty good, develop great chemistry and confidence, have about six players average 12 points, and ride it as far as you can go. But not in the NBA. In the NBA you have to have a few players who are special to make an impact in the postseason. You need Captain John Smith to get you through winter at Jamestown in the NBA.

This is why I expect regression from the Suns this year. I’d say more like 40-42 wins than 48.
