Stanford hoopsParticipantI TOLD YALL MONTHS AGO THAT HOLIDAY WAS OVERRATED AND THE workouts he had against his shawdow wasnt worth a thing..when he started workingout against the other pg in the draft he started to get his lunch handed to him. i was suprised he even went as high as he did. like i said before alot of teams are hoping hes gonna be able to play the pg position and the teams that passed up on him are pretty sure he wont even be a good pg

futureGM22ParticipantPeople were questioning whether Chad Ford was right for having him going as high as #4 to the Kings or if Aaron Smith and the NBAdraft.net people were right with him going mid-late. Looks like we know who to trust

Stanford hoopsParticipantnot half of the nba…half of the sports writers…the nba guys who said jru would go early were playing chess..so someone would be dumb enough to draft him high and let the guy they really wanted to slide down to them..too bad the lotto teams were smart enough to not fall for it

llperezIf you go back and read what I had to say about Holiday, I never said he would be great and I never compared him to anyone. I specifically said that he may turn out to be a bust. While you have bashed him constantly, all I said was that his potential was top 10 worthy. Obviously the GM’s did’nt agree since he went 17th. With that said, give him a couple years before you call him a bust. Philly is a great situation for him and maybe in a few years I’ll be looking like the smart one who saw what he had, maybe not. Keep in mind that he still went higher then NBAdraft ever had him going, and I find it funny that on the draft grades article, they give Philly the worst grade and basically just bash them for taking Jrue. Obviously this site does’nt think much of him. I also remember years ago when I said Arenas was the hands down best PAC 10 player coming out and should be a lotto pick. Everyone else said he sucked and he went to the second round. I look pretty good on that one.

gatorheelsParticipantI thought Holiday would be a lottery pick for sure. At the latest I could’ve seen him fall to #15. I was really surprised to see him fall so late. I had Holiday going #10 to the Bucks in my mock. I still think he will be a solid player. I think the 76ers were smart for drafting him.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantLol. the main reason i came back here post-draft was to give Aran Smith credit for seeing Jrue’s fall ahead of time…. Regardless, at the time it seemed like a dumb view to have when Jrue was in the mix everywhere from 4-18…
Lol. Josh this still doesn’t prove your point. your point will (or will not) be proven in the years to come. At least Jrue won’t have huge expectations.

Stanford hoopsParticipantit proves a couple of my points to the people who were saying he dominated in the workouts when i was saying that anyone can look good workingout against there shadow..llperez22 that whole post wasnt directed to you only the part where u said hed go top ten..the rest was telling the other posters who said that he would go lotto hands down…and badger..youre right he wont have huge expectations and he never did except buy his fans and some of the dumb mock draft people who just piggy backed off of what they heard/saw other people were saying instead of comming up with there own opnions
