GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantPretty much everyone looked good. Ulis looks like a college Jr out there. UK subbed in five at a time that complete wore the PR team out. Alex P looked good with his Shawn Marion/Aaron Gordon impersonation (no plays for him just creat and dish or throw it in the air for him to dunk or offensive rebound plus very good defense defending the rim). They played very unselfish basetball which was surprising for many considering all the talent. The twins are in much better shape (Aaron drove the lane twice for the slam)

TimeForNineParticipantAndrew Harrison had a very impressive end to the first half. He had a mean crossover and dish to Poythress for a dunk and then hit a very acrobatic reverse layup off of an offensive rebound. The twins seemed to show more pro promise than in the past. They’re likely not lottery picks, but they could be good value in the mid to late first round.

JordanC20ParticipantUlis was definitely the man of the day he is so scrappy…when he made a mistake he always made up for it wheather it was him getting a steal or playing top notch defense or making a good pass on the next possession.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantThey didn’t turnover the ball nearly as much as last year or when they had heir first scrimmage last season. This team looked in midseason form. Not even going by how much they beat the PR team because that was supposed to happen but by the mistakes they made or didn’t make and how they moved the ball, got shots, got in the lane with ease against strong grown men. It’s going to be ugly for some teams once they put it together and have WCS in their to block shots (Dakari isn’t much of a shot blocker) when he subs in or starts.
The subbing five guys in is really going to wear teams down because the drop off is very mini mula and will be even less when Baby boozer and baby tyson Chandler get healthy. I just finished watching last seasons first couple of scrimmages and games and it’s like night and day as far as defense, execution and team play

AdamJCallejaParticipantNo Trey Lyles or WCS, and they still looked deep as ever. They started Johnson, Poythress at the 4, Devin Booker and Aaron H on the wings, and Andrew running the point. Dakari Johnson looked just as good as he did during the tourney run, if not better but Karl Towns also looked good, so it’s going to be interesting to see what the Atarting frontcourt looks like come February.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantKarl Towns is realy slow.. The bigs are slow, cant wait till WCS gets back out there.. Hes a beast. Harrisons looked nice as well. Ulis is a good 4 year player.. Tyler Thornton type, but smaller

Skeating12345ParticipantIm not a huge UK fan, but just based on what I saw this game, they look like by far the best Kentucky team since the Nat’l title team in 2012, and I honestly think they have the potential to be better. They have unbelievable size and length for a college team, they have the most depth in CBB, and the Harrison twins look much better. This team is tough.

imAboutDatActionParticipantThey played great.
Ball movement, defense and athletic plays all over the court. Depth and size everywhere.
Ullis played great defense, which is surprising for a 5’9 freshmen against grown men.
As for the guy who said their bigs are slow, i didnt get that impression. Dakari for sure is slow, but Marcus Lee and Poythress are great athletes. They move very well. From what i saw, Towns wasn’t moving slow out there. Mostly Dakari and Willis.
I will be watching tomorows game.

phila9012ParticipantTheir team this year is like their championship team only deeper. Their championship team had Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb cameback along with darius miller. They provided the leadership and experience for the team even though 2 of those guys were still only sophomores. It helps a lot when you have guys who have been through a season in college.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantNot sure which Karl towns he saw but the UK one did not look slow at all. Must have been comparing his speed to one of the small guards. He constantly beat other bigs in the lane and down the floor. This UK team has the potential to be Cals best. They are just so deep but that’s not what gets me, it’s how well they move the ball and defend so early in the year. The way they play is how the title team played mid season. When they put in that second five there isn’t much of a drop off. The scariest thing is their best post defender and possibly their best post player on offense are both injured.
when they beat PR I thought they were pretty good but not sure since that PR team isn’t that good but after seeing them destroy a first division pro team who featured a couple of players who were either all conference or would be all conference right now, I became more convinced
