I truly believe that the Philadelphia 76ers will have the ROY Award winner for the next 2yrs. Not just because I am Sixers fan either. Starting with MCW, Nerlens Noel and then Embiid. Noel will probably def average a double double and could finish top 5 in blocks. He’s my early nominee for the honor.

    Who’s your pic?

Jabari. Milwaukee needs him to be the man, and he’ll be just that.

Jabari fits all the classic criteria for ROTY

    o On a bad team – Check
o Will get lots of shots – Check
o Will be focal point on offense – Check
o Is one of the most NBA ready – Check
o Will start – Check (he should I would think.)
o Log at least 30 MPG – Check.
o No real star on his team – Check

I would be very surprised if he doesn’t win it.

I gotta go with Doug Buckets. He’s better than Parker at this time in his career (but won’t be soon) and he’ll be a solid contributor for a top team.

Parker is certainly in a position to be a favorite for the award, but to make this a more interesting thread, it should be who is ROY and what five make the All Rookie team.

    Parker – ROY

All rookie team – Wiggins, Exum, Smart, McBuckets  and Randle.

HM- Zach Lavine and Nik Staukas

…I would imagine that if Parker won ROY he’d likely be on the All-Rookie team, right?

I want to pick Elfrid Payton, but I will play it safe and go with Jabari Parker.

So here is the list of best rookies, the top is Rookie of the Year and the first five make All-Rookie First Team.

    J Parker

    A Wiggins (In Minnesota)

    E Payton

    N Noel

    A Gordon

    Now the Second Team:

    J Randle

    D Exum

    R Hood

    KJ McDaniels

D McDermott (although I thought about N Mirotic here)

Elfrid Payton has no competition in the point guard , and he knows very well fill sheet statistics, but i think will win Parker

Wiggins has a chance to be ROY, especially if this trade motivates him to work his hardest.

I see Wiggins(twolves) scoring around 15 pts, about 4 rpg,and Parker 18 ppg and about 5-6 rpg.But i see Parker shooting less effectively, playing way worse defense and the bucks being way worse..Thus i think Wiggins  will win it.
