Horrible trade for Minnesota? Because getting the former rookie of the year is a bad thing…

I’m a Philly fan, but if Minnesota is trading Love to Cleveland and not getting Wiggins then it’s a pretty big fail for them. If anything Embiid should be going to Minnesota in this deal. Having said that I would want absolutly no parts of this deal as a Philly fan. You can’t honestly think Wiggins and Waiters are worth Love and Embiid, right?

Horrible trade for Philly too.  They give up MCW, Young and Embiid for Wiggins and Waiters.  I would rather have MCW over Waiters and at this point I don’t think Wiggins is worth both Embiid and Young.  Cleveland makes out like bandits.

    How about this one:

Cleveland gets: Kevin Love & Joel Embiid.

Minnesota gets: Michael Carter-Williams, Thaddeus Young & ’15 first round pick from Cleveland.

Philadelphia gets: Andrew Wiggins, Zach Lavine, Anthony Bennett & ’15 first round pick from Cleveland.

Better from a Philly perspective….but the T-wolves get sh*t on even more.  You now have them giving up Love and Levine….to get back MCW, Young and a 2015 first round pick (which is likely to be some where in the 20s).  Again cleveland gets the best end of this deal……not surprising based on your logo.

Philly fans negging this idea like crazy because they’re waiting for Cleveland to trade Wiggins to Minnesota so they can get him without giving up Embiid…

I disagree. Minnesota and new coach Flip Saunders would rather have proven commodity over upside, thus preferring MCW over Wiggins and Embiid. He wants to compete and knows what he’s getting in MCW. He and Thad Young would give the Wolves a very competitive, experienced core.

So many things are wrong with this. I don’t even think you can pull this off in NBA 2K, so it’s pretty much impossible in real life.

I love how the guy is basically saying the Wolves would do that trade because they get proven commodities. Dude Philly was trying to lose last year and were really good at it. If they wanted Carter Williams and Thad Young, why not just trade Love for them straight up, without getting Cleveland involved? Then Philly could keep Embiid. Essentially Philly trades the #3 pick for the #1 pick and Waiters? That makes no sense either.

Gosh I miss when people at least thought rationally. I’m a wolves fan. Lets trade Rubio and Shabazz Muhammad and Dieng for Kyrie Irving and Embiid. Philly would get Dieng who can protect the rim and looks funny when he runs. Great deal for them. Cleveland gets a guy who tried hard and makes cool passes plus a guy that can score a lot if he shoots even more. Perfect. #sarcasmfont

This is from a good source in the Wolve front office as of 1 1/2 – 2 weeks ago. I’d encourage you to wait to criticize it until it is over (though, my luck, they change their minds).

It’s settled. Wiggins, Bennett, and a number 1 for Love. The #1 goes to Philly for Thaddeus Young, who lands in Minny. I know these things are subject to change, but that’s what it was then. I doubt it changes unless something unforeseen happens.

Don’t get mad at me if you don’t like the trade. I’m not saying I’d do it or wouldn’t. I’m only relaying information.

As I’ve said before, it rests with the Cavs notion that they need to get things together sooner than later. If it were me, I might wait, keep the prospects, let LeBron nurture them, and pick up Love on the cheap next year. But, I’m not their front office. Aside from waiting, everyone is getting value from this.

    Take if FWIW…

As a Sixers fan I would rather have Embiid than Wiggins. The ONLY reason to consider Wiggins over Embiid is the injury, but the injury prognosis looks good so it isn’t worth it at all. Embiid’s ceiling is significantly higher than Wiggins’.

There is no reason at all to trade MCW in any scenario.

I’m also a Sixers fan but don’t agree with you. I would actually prefer Wiggins based on building a team. MCW, Wiggins, Noel and a top pick in a draft loaded with bigs(Okafor?, Alexander?) plus Saric is a better team than MCW, Embiid, Noel, the top pick in a big man heavy draft, plus Saric

And, this will be my last post. I had a person I’ve known for  years and trust give me information from the Wolves front office. I post it here and got voted down twice. I’ve never completely understood the mentality of message boards. I thought it would be appreciated.

If you have a source in the front office, that’s awesome. But a lot of people have "inside scoops" from sources who are never right. There are trust issues that’s all. If you are in contact with Wolves people though, tell them they need to try to tank this year for high draft picks…not compete for a 7-11 seed in the West. Sell the fans on a rebuild with Wiggins as the tip of the iceberg and build it up like OKC.

So I guess minny are really putting their hopes on two rookies . ( Lavine and Wiggins) ,  and a sometimes erratic point guard. (Rubio). Honestly the best thing for them would be to have an awful record and hope to get a top 3 pick next year. I’ll tell you this though, they can be exciting if they run run run . Cause wiggins Lavine and deing are super athletic
