I’d say this: If the Spurs put up 85 first half points on the Heat in Miami in the NBA Finals and proceeded to win something like 150 to 100, that’s about the basketball equivalent of what Germany just did to Brazil

I can’t think of a basketball equivalent, but I can certainly name a p*rn equivalent.

I think a good equivalent might be games 3,4 and 5 of the finals we just watched.

What about game 6 of the 2008 finals? Wasn’t it a 39 points blowout in a finals elimination loss for the Lakers?

What we saw today was pretty much absolute brilliance. Germany is like a fine tuned soccer machine. They made no unnecessarily stupid plays, timed their runs and passes perfectly, attacked and scored in a matter of split seconds, defended extremely well, and displayed all-out dominance like I’ve never actually seen before. A basketball equivalent would be the Spurs beating the Heat by like 60 points in the clinching game.

Prince Oberyn vs. The Mountain, is the best comparison I can think of.
