OhCanada-ParticipantIm happy they brought him back but I defenitely think they overpaid especially if they are trying to add good pieces in next years free agent market and commit to winning a championship. Now Vasquez and Johnson will likely ask for the same amount or more. 2-mil per year may not seem like much but when its spread out amongst 4-5 players it adds up. Good to see them committ to what brought them success though I dont want to rwly on Caboclo and Nogueira to take the team to the next level.

imAboutDatActionParticipantThats good value for boths parties.
Pat is a big body, stretch 4. The perfect role player for contenders.
Novak just got traded so his contract is off the books. Raps still have things to play with.

TRC1991ParticipantIf Valanciunas, Ross, and Patterson all take the next step in their development – and DeRozan, Lowry, Johnson and Vasquez emulate what they did last year – this team should be pretty formidable

CavFanPRParticipant6 million a year is bargain if he can repeat what he did last season!

thparadoxParticipantPatterson is a bargain at 6M /year. He’s only 24…. truly a stretch 4. And he stepped up big time in the playoffs.
There is no way this is an overpay. It’s such a steal compared to the ridiculous contracts going around.

bmac697ParticipantI would agree, young player with oppourtunity to learn and grow with this team. The reason I like it, gives him incentive to work hard and improve so in there’s years, when’s he’s comming into his prime he can ask for 8 to 12 mill a year, depending on his development. I’ve always liked him, good signing for Toronto.
