This is a prediction based on what I’ve been reading so the prediction isn’t as bold anymore I guess. LeBron wants to solidify himself as one of the best basketball players to ever play the game. He wants to play with Carmelo Anthony and there’s only a handful of teams that have the talent and the cap space to pay these two and contend for a title. The team that makes the most sense right now is the Phoenix Suns.

It would be a huge stunner if LeBron leaves South Beach to join the Phoenix Suns for some, but talent wise, it makes sense. Phoenix has terrific young talent to put next to LeBron and Melo and would be the favorites to win it all.

That would be the biggest issue. Who the hell would play center? Alex Len? That would be risky. Also, signing 1 year deals as opposed to long term deals is incredibly risky. What if they get hurt? Would not totally count Phoenix out, but they are not going to get either on a one-year deal and I do not see it happening.

Miles Plumlee is their starting center.

I don’t in any way think the OP’s proposition will happen, but blaming the "inside" is foolish when the Heat don’t have any big men on their team either.

Clearly, playing with Anthony, Bledsoe, Dragic, and others would be better than playing with Wade and Bosh and a bunch of old bad role players.

Man, plus, if you pay Eric Bledsoe what he deserves, can you still in any way reasonably sign LeBron and Carmelo? So, that probably takes him out of the equation. If Miles Plumlee and Alex Len are your two headed center, even with the role players on the team (who have next to no experience playing for a contender, beyond Dragic to an extent), am not loving that situation. Why would you go from a team struggling inside to a team that in all likelihood, would do much of the same.

Defense and rebounding are major keys to championships. Miami may not have had rebounding in their title teams, though their floor spacing, shooting and defensive rotations were absolutely paramount to their two titles. Tell me what the proposed Phoenix team would have besides floor spacing? Plus, they have to go through the West. Granted, they win the West, they likely win it all, but no guarantee at all.

Who is to say the Heat will have a bunch of "old bad role players"? When their is 55 million in cap space, with the chance to at least possibly sign help. Seems like you are believing a lot to be calling me foolish for questioning what is going on inside in this scenario. Melo is not a defensive presence and LeBron, while a monster, would definitely prefer not to have to guard 4’s. Not to mention, Miles Plumlee may be willing to guard centers, though is hardly proven. Would rather have a guy like Bosh who is at least versatile enough on offense to counter. That was my point regarding this particular scenario, though I am guessing you just feel they could plug and play, than fix all of the Heat’s issues.

Even if you REALLY think they would go there why would it only be one 1 year deals? That would be completely retarded on their part.

I could see them taking deals with an out clause after 1 year. Not a straight 1 year deal.

Lebron and Melo will not sign somewhere where Alex Len and Miles Plumlee are your 2 bigs…

The Suns team would  be a great choice for any star to sign. Warm, great med staff, great young team. The only issue for LBJames is does he want to battle out west almost nightly? Does Lebron have the cajones to play out West? There really isn’t a better team for Lebron to Finnish out his career. If anyone disagrees, well they are just stupid homers.Good day…

I think he would go back to Cleveland before he would the Suns.

Phoenix has two good big men in Alex Len and Miles Plumlee. That’s better than having Chris Andersen as your only true center on the roster (unless Greg Oden counts). I think it’s between Phoenix and Cleveland at this point.
