Kinguy11ParticipantI can’t post the link for some reason but I’m sure just googling Patty’s name will give you all the info you need.
A real shame for Mills, who just came off one the best seasons in his career. His free agent stock will surely plummet with this news. I personally hope he resigns with the Spurs (I heard somewhere that they were already negotitating), which would seem likely now as other teams may not want to take a chance on him.
A party that certainly didn’t want to hear this news was the Aussie National Team. He was their star in London and you have wonder what this will mean for them. A silver lining to the injury could be that Exum will get more game time at the World Cup, but Mills would certainly have had a much larger impact at this particulary tourney.
All the best for Patty, I hope he makes a good recovery.

nick5354ParticipantSo was he playing through his in the playoffs and finals? If so, that is some gutsy play

omphalosParticipantBest thing for Mills’ career in a certain sense, because now his value will be low enough that the Spurs can keep him and he’ll continue to thrive in their system.
Anyone else think his excessive towel waving last year had something to do with his shoulder injury?

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Spurs are a class organzization (as we’ve all heard a million times now) and I’m sure they’ll compensate Mills fairly.
Corey Joseph will handle business being the primary backup in Mills’ absence.

Rip2556 Mths from now is the new year. The Spurs will still be playing in May. Most of that time is offseason.
Bad…and probably costing him 3m, but not so bad that he wont be back next sesason.
A shoulder is a horrible injury for a football player, but it’s not a career killer in basketball.
