Memphis MadnessParticipantTaj Gibson, Tony Snell, and 49 would be a solid deal for the Kings.
Taj Gibson would be a nice fit next to Cousins inside, and Snell would give them more depth at the 2.
The Kings can still get a deep bench guy at 49.
Looks like for the money to work it would be the 8th pick and a contract (Carl Landry?) going to the Bulls for Taj Gibson, Tony Snell, and 49.
I can see the Bulls doing this if they are going after Carmelo, or Love, or BOTH.
Otherwise, not sure I would trade away young assets for the 8th pick.
Now, if the Bulls can THEN trade 8, 16, Boozer, Dunleavy, and the rights to Mirotic to the T Wolves for Kevin Love and ALSO sign Carmelo Anthony (or even LeBron James if he opts out), this would be a great move for the Bulls.
Rose, Butler, Carmelo, Love, and Noah would be a heck of a starting five.
If there is ANY chance of them getting this done, they should go ALL IN.
Resigning Captain Kirk would give them an extra guard, and Chuck Hayes (from Sacramento) gives the Bulls an extra rebounder and post defender off the bench.
An IDEAL starting five, with two decent role players off the bench.
They should then be able to fill out their roster with cheap shooters and defensive "energy" guys.

mike_r232ParticipantThe Bulls have a very exciting off season ahead of them. I’d love to see them get the 8th pick and grab a shooter to put next to Rose. But, I really hope we can hold on to Gibson unless this directly means that we will get Love/Melo. He’s a great talent on a very good contract. If they could ultimately end up with Afflalo and Melo (more reasonable than Love and Melo), without giving up the farm, I would be very very excited. Could have a squad of: Rose, Afflalo, Melo, Taj/Mirotic, Noah. Buter or Gibson might be involved in a S&T for Melo… but a starting lineup like that looks very enticing. Also, keep in mind that trading those two picks would free up cap space.

jonus grumbyParticipantI agree that the Bulls should be looking to trade their 2 first round picks for one pick. I can see the Bulls wanting to trade Taj but only so that they can free up salary cap space. I does not make sense for the Bulls to trade Taj and take back salary in return.
