Do you guys think STAT can get back to Allstar form, or has his Allstar days have long since come and gone? I think I believe the latter, I just don’t see it happening.

This one beats the f*ck out of me! He’s talking about an All-Star appearance! I must be missing something, did he win a ring already?

Would there be anything more awesomely bad than a NBA Legends’ Dunk Contest?

You could do it on a 9 foot or a 9 1/2 foot goal.

You could redo the 2000 dunk contest with Vince Carter (ok, he is still playing), Tracy McGrady, Steve Francis, and Jerry Stackhouse.

Or, an Over-35 Dunk Contest featuring Vinsanity, Kobe, D Wade’s knees, and LeBron’s mileage.

I have just as much of a chance to get into the allstar game as Amare does.

I won’t say he has no chance. It’s very slim though. I may be holding on to the past a bit as he’s been one of my favorite players ever.

If Melo leaves I could see it happening if he stays healthy. Not an amazing crop of forwards in the east. Like I said it is unlikely but I’m not saying no chance.

This is a contract year for him so if it was ever going to happen again for him it would have to happen now.  It would take a couple injuries to other players at his position, great health for him, and excellent shooting so I wouldn’t call it impossible, just highly unlikely.

Guys Joe Johnson made it averaging 15, 3, and 3… Also, Amare averaged 12 and 5 in only 22 mpg last year and came off the bench most of the year. He is only two years removed from averaging 17.5 and 8 and just 3 years removed from his amazing 25 and 8 season. Lets say he finally feels healthy, Melo leaves, and the Knicks suck (again). I really wouldnt be surprised if he got his averages close to 18 and 8 again. To say it CANT happen is just dumb. Crazier things happen every year.

For 2 reasons, for starters coming back from any knee injury will be complications.  Especially with bigs, so next year he maybe 100% back…  He looked somewhat getting to that point the end of the year for the Knicks.

No Melo…   If Melo isn’t there then the Knicks will need to go to Amare for a bulk of the scoring…  I actually think the Knicks will get into the playoffs next year with or without Melo…  Doesn’t mean they will do well there, but don’t forget Amare did shoot 55% this year so he’s still efficient…
