FutureNBAGMParticipantThis would be great for Minnesota. Better to get great value now for Love as opposed to possibly losing for nothing next summer.

The QParticipant6/17/Sully/Olynyk is pretty legit. I’d give them the clips pick from the doc rivers trade as well.
Then you just need to balance salaries, and even then I don’t think it’s much due to the C’s being like 12 mil under the cap. But I’m not 100% sure on that.

dazeoneParticipantHe is only one player and the Celt is can get one more star to pair with Rondo. That is too much to give up for him…but if I was Minnesota I’d do it in a heartbeat and fill out the roster with the picks to appease Rubio or he will leave next.

dcaseParticipantI thought the whole idea of Love wanting to be traded is to get on a team that can compete. With a core of Rondo, Love and Green I can see the Celtics maybe making the playoffs in the East but not much more than that. I’m sure the Celtics won’t give up that much to get Love unless he agreed to sign an extension. My question is why would Love sign an extension to be right back in a similar situation as he finds himself in Minny?

UnbiasedObserverParticipantBecause Rondo will be his most talented and best teammate he has had in his whole career. Plus Klove knows that Danny Ainge can build a championship team around the duo..

RUDEBOY_ParticipantFans in Boston will be happy to have him there..
But didnt Love say that he wants to play for a contender? In an interview on Sports Nation he said he wanted to go to a place where he can win…
It seems to me that even in the more talented and deeper Western Conference..With Love ,Pekovic,Rubio,Dieng,Martin and the 13th pick, the T-Wolves are closer to making the playoffs than the Celtics will be with Kevin Love and Rondo, who is trying to comeback from an injury….

FearTheStacheParticipantWhile the Celtics may not be winning next year, the have shown that they are a quality organization who can win championships. Minnesota was never going to give Love a chance to win a championship, they’ve never even got close in the past. With another star and with an organization that knows how to build championships, Love trusts Boston over Minnesota every time.

For_Never_EverParticipantI would rather take my chances with the Celtics then the Wolves any day. Rubio has been exposed that you can just completely lay off him because he is likely the worst shooter out of the PG’s in the league. You can say Rondo can’t shoot either, but he brings a lot more other aspect of the game that Rubio doesn’t. Organization I don’t have to tell anyone the difference between the two.

NorthernLights666ParticipantThis works on ESPN’s Trade Machine, I’m sure the Wolves would do other moves too, combining the 13th and 17th, or maybe Kevin Martin and the 17th or 13th to move up.
Wolves:
6th Pick
17th Pick
Kelly Olynyk
Jared Sullinger
Keith Bogans
Avery Bradley
Joel AnthonyCeltics:
Kevin Love0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/18/2014 - 4:46am #921309

Love to the Celtics is only a matter of time. It just makes too much sense to not happen.

The QParticipantHopefull the C’s would turn Jeff Green into Omar Asik (it makes a lot of sense for both teams IMO) or it’s a 3 team trade with a tema like CLE who supposedly was in hard for Green before gettnig Deng.
It might be something to look out for. Or just Green for Varejao.

Toronto16ParticipantMinnesota needs to stop trading their star power forwards to Boston for pupu platter.

For_Never_EverParticipantIt’s too late now even if it isn’t Boston Love is leaving. They gotten to the point of no return he isn’t resigning, and you got until next season.

raymondlyfParticipantTo be fair, Wolve got a pretty strong roster last season but still couldnt win enough games. Unless they can draft another Damian Lillard or sign a superstar, if not they will certainly regret after another dissapointing season.

ReactionParticipantI love this deal for Minni. If a deal with the 6th, 17th, Sullinger, and Olynk were to go down for Kevin Love, do you think Minni would consider flipping the 6th or 17th and Sullinger for Monroe from the Pistons via a sign and trade? Not sure if that is even a good deal for Minni, but its something that crossed my mind just now. I would think that it would be a decent deal because Sullinger fits more in Van Gundy’s style of play and an additional pick would help the Pistons. Minni would get a replacement to Kevin Love albiet by far not as good as Love.
It would end up with
Boston:
– 6th and 17th picks
– Sullinger
– Olynk
+ Kevin Love
Minni:
– Kevin Love
+ 17th (or 6th) pick
+ Olynk
+ Monroe
Detroit:
– Greg Monroe (via sign-and-trade to Minni)
+ 6th (or 17th) pick
+ Sullinger

mrhancocParticipantAfter hearing all the talks about Love wanting to play for a contender, make the trade if you cant bring anyone else in to help him. It would be like stealing candy from a baby if you are Minn. I would guess Boston may not even ask for a sing n trade with Love, but I dont see Love staying in Boston, Love would be best to become a free agent to get where he wants to go

MopgrassParticipantIt would be interesting to see who the Wolves would pick at 6. You would think a SG would be priority and so would center. However, which one of those can you get at 6th?

The QParticipantI don’t think C is a real need. Dieng played really well there and you still got Pek. Althoguh I’d trade Pek (for value, it’s not a salary dump) if you’re moving Love.
The second question the wolves need to ask if it Rubio is going to play out like Love, if yes you could move him to say Sacto in a deal for 8.
If you think you’re keeping Rubio you could still try to package 13 and 17, like the Bulls are and a team like either Denver or Charlotte would probalby move down. Or you take 3 rookies, or even 2 and a guy like Nurkic at 17 who you can stash for a year or 2 of the rebuild (which might be the ideal choice to keep your pick away from the Suns).

gobullzParticipantYou Celtics fans must have some strong Coke if you think, Sully, and olynic, and a draft pick after the big 3 (#6) is enought to get you the best pf in the nba. I do like the Pistons 3 way deal where the wolves get Monroe though.

FearTheStacheParticipantAs long as its the best deal out there, it doesn’t matter how good the package is. If you’re the Wolves, and you know he’s going to leave, I’d rather get something than nothing. Out of the teams that would offer a package for Love, Celts have the best package, equal or not. Please, gobullz, you think there is a better, realistic package for him
