I don’t understand this trade, but one thing is for sure: the Wolves are getting at least three first round picks for Kevin Love.

Way too unrealistic, way too many people moving. Trying to edit your trade to make it more realistic but i just dont see it happening.

    Minny sends: Love

    Phoenix sends: Morris twins, Dragic

    Orlando sends: Afflalo and Harkless

Minny gets: Morris twins, Afflalo, and Harkless

    Phoenix gets: Love

    Orlando gets: Dragic

Minny: gets a 2 guard who can defend and shoot, a small forward with potential, and the Morris twins can produce when given a chance

    Rubio – Afflalo – Harkless – Morris – Pek

Barea – Martin – Draft pick – Morris – Dieng

Phoenix: gets there star man in Love and can build there backcour through free agency and or the draft

    Bledsoe – Adams (27th) – Warren (18) – Love – Plumlee

    Smith – Goodwin – Green – Frye – Len

Orlando: Makes Oladipo and Dragic the back court of the future and can draft the forwards of the future

    Dragic – Oladipo – Harris – Vonaleh (4) – Vucevic

    Nelson – Lamb – Saric (12) – Maxiell – O’Quinn

There’s two different trades, for whatever reason, there’s no space between the two scenarios. The trade accomplishes the things the Wolves want out of trading Love:

Young wing prospect (Waiters or Oladipo)
Early 1st Round draft pick in this Draft (4th Pick)
    Veteran backup PG (Nelson)
    Young PF (Morris)
    3 Point Shooting (Frye)

The Wolves don’t want a ton of first rounders, just one high one, and if that means taking lower picks and combining them they’ll do that, but Flip is looking to re-tool, not re-build, ala the Nuggets after Melo.  Maybe they don’t have to move their future 1st they owe Phoenix to the Magic, maybe they move it with the 4th Pick to move up to 2 and get Parker.  They’d be much more well rounded, their bench was the worst last season.

    Rubio/Nelson
    Oladipo or Waiters/Martin
    Parker/Brewer/Muhammad
    Morris/Adriene Payne/Frye
    Pekovic/Dieng

Get off the video games brotha.  This would never ever ever ever happen.  Does the money even work?  If it did I would give you props for at least researching your waste of time.

But, the Wolves won’t do any deal for Love that doesn’t have two of these in the deal and additional veterans:

    Klay Thompson
    Bradley Beal
    Victor Oladipo
    Dion Waiters
    Jimmy Butler
    Harrison Barnes
    Terrence Ross
    Top 10 Pick

I would add Mirotic to that group.  But every time I see a trade idea, there is very little consideration about how long players will be under team control, how their salary/production effects the team’s salary cap, etc.  The only due dilligence most people do is using ESPN’s trade machine.  I don’t believe there has ever been a 4/5 team trade with that many moving pieces like the OP proposed.  When you compare that to potential trades that have been metioned in the media already, it also has WAAAAY too many smaller pieces moving from one team to another for certain teams to make only mild strides in the positive (and sometimes negative) direction.  I am a Bulls fan, so I know that trade idea the media has been floating around for the past week or so the best, so I can compare that to the OP’s trade idea and see how the talent adds up.  BTW, I am agreeing with you that the Wolves wouldn’t be interested in anything less than young, future all-stars that are still at or near their rookie contracts and top 10-15 picks.

The "proposed" Bulls/Wolves trade that the Bulls offered had the 16th and 19th picks, Mirotic (who can be looked at as a possible Top 10 talent), Butler/Gibson (most likely Gibson, who isn’t really a younger guy anymore at 29 but has a reasonable salary compared to production and Butler is going to need a new contract after 2014-2015), and even possibly the future Sacramento pick from the Cavs/Deng trade that is Top 10 protected through 2017 (which seems more likely than ever to be a 1st opposed to turning into a 2nd with the ownership group in Sacramento looking to win sooner rather than later).  That also includes taking Boozer for salary cap purposes, although that is an expiring deal after the upcoming 2014-2015 season.  That is A LOT of things to trade for one player and would only be accepted by Chicago if they get Love to agree to a small extension.

People are split on how good Mirotic will be, but he combined with 3 picks and either Gibson or Butler is a chance for Minnesota to get 3 starters for the next 5 years.  That’s saying that (let’s just pick Butler for this discussion, who Minnesota would have to feel confident he will sign a new deal with them after next year) Butler, Mirotic, and only 1 guy out of the 3 picks Minnesota receives becomes a starter (or the picks are moved as assets, or combined with Minny’s own picks to move up in the draft or in another trade for a quality starter).

Guys like Dragic (who has a player option for 2015-2016) is too close to becoming a free agent for him to be a good choice for Minnesota.  If Love is moved, I completely agree that the Wolves would be going completely in the rebuild mode and would want the youth/talent combination that you listed above.  But, there are some "older" veterans (27 is considered older in the NBA, which is kind of funny) that could be considered if they have reasonable contracts compared to their production and the Wolves can keep them in Minny for 2-3 years.

If Chad Ford is right, and we know how he and Danny Ainge are close, could this be a trade the Wolves could bring together: Wolves: Kelly Olynyk Avery Bradley Brandon Bass Bismack Biyombo Gary Neal Joel Anthony Chris Johnson Phil Pressey 6th Pick 9th Pick Celtics: Kevin Love JJ Barea Hornets: Kevin Martin 17th Pick

Love and Martin =  22.5 million

    For

6th and 17th picks, Olynyk, Wallace, and Bass = 19.13 million

The Wolves probably even get more future 1st rounders for having to take on Gerald Wallace.
