The Bulls have been said to want to clear cap aside from Boozer’s terrible contract(Mirotic and Melo signings???)

So why not salary dump Dunleavy to a team like Philly while only parting ways with a Rookie/Guaranteed Contract, they’ll get back the 32nd pick from Philadelphia and a few million in Cash incentives, the 76ers can then draft a player like Payne/Hairston after taking Wiggins/Parker 3rd and a player like Gordon/Stauskas/Harris 10th…

    Thoughts???

How about Dunleavy and the 19th to the Lakers for Cash and a future 2nd? Hell if you want to throw in the 16th as well Lakers would take Boozer I’m sure.  No need to pay him 16 mil yo play for someone else.

I’ll do this deal in a heartbeat if I was the Sixers.

That’s giving up a lot to just shed Dunleavy’s contract. The Hawks can absorb him for a future second. On that note, Dunleavy would fit well in Coach Bud (Pop) system.

I would think Philly would love this trade.

If they move Dunleavy I think they’ll at least try to get him to a good situation. Teams at the end of the 1st like OKC, Phoenix, Miami, Charlotte could all use him.

This is an interesting trade for a few reasons. It’s not unusual for teams with higher payrolls basically "sell" their 1st rounders to avoid a guaranteed deal. This is also a draft where the guys in the 20-35 range are all pretty much interchangeable due to the depth of quality players in the draft.

From Philly’s end it sounds great, but there is a chance they can use that #32 pick to actually get even more value this year. Teams trying to save money and seeing that #32 pick as significantly more valuable than in past years due to depth. From Chicago’s end it makes sense, but it also depends on them trying to trade up with the #16/#19 and also on their plans to go after Melo and amnesty Boozer and Mirotic’s demands.
