Chicago Bulls appear to be sticking with their man, and probably for the best staying away from K-Love. Coach Thibs with his coaching and player development staff, along with Noah & Gibson can/will bring him accordingly. I would imagine the bulls practice is probably as close to the game as you will get (along with several other teams).
If Chicago decides to use the amnesty on Boozer, it will leave them with around 19 mil. for offseason additions if they can sign mirotic 3yr./16 mil. contract (poor man’s kevin love) along with signing their two picks #16pick at 1.4mil, #19 at 1.2mil. That will still leave Chicago around 13mil to sign a big name free agent like Melo, or maybe Bron Bron ( ehh..you never know) , who can afford a slight Nba pay cut, due to their bountiful endorsements off the court Lebron at 42mil in 2013 Camelo at a suprising 9mil. Nevertheless, Chicago has some major flexibility in the offseason, and should be able to contend right away for a ring, with a great chances of winning. If all the pieces fall in-line.
*Healthy D.Rose
*Quality Backup (Payton or Semaj Christon at #16.) *Backup comboguard with developing creating skills at #19 (J. Clarkson, Dinwiddie) *Decide or keep 2nd Rd pick Backup for Taj (Cory Jefferson, Khem Birch, Johhny O’Bryant) However they do have Greg Smith.
*Support for Thibs & Thibs staff from Management. *Sign Mirotic to +MLE 3yr/17 mil. *Boozer out.Taj Steps in. * Snell and Butler offseason of offense. * Land deal with Melo 40% chance maybe higher
Roster projection: Rose/Payon or Christon Gibson/Mirotic/2ndRdpick Butler/Clarkson Noah/Smith Melo/Dunleavy/Snell
I doubt highly doubt Chicago Bulls would follow thru with all of this, but if I was Gm though.. I would play this out on draft night

BallinmvpParticipantWhen healthy, the bulls are one of the deepest teams in the league. They need to amnesty boozer ASAP. They then could try and continue to build through the draft or trade the picks for a sign and trade for Carmelo. Personally I would like to see Melo in a bulls uni. Thibs can get the most out of a team and assuming rose comes back healthy, a core of Rose, Melo, Noah and quality role players can make some serious noise in a depleted and chaotic east. Especially with Miami being a year older, pacers in turmoil and the rest of the playoff teams being respectable but not truly contending for titles.

FutureNBAGMParticipantPeople can say what they want about Love but I still think there’s a much better chance of Carmelo coming to Chicago next year.

HitsterParticipantReally looking forward to seeing what Mirotic can do in the NBA. If he is in Chicago tyen hopefully a deal is close to get him over.

dannyg219ParticipantNo, they probably won’t get melo for 13mil. but if they can make small moves by packaging and trading Dunleavy and Greg Smith to clear a few million

GrandmamaParticipantI’m really hoping they bring him over this year. The spacing he will create for Rose with his shooting ability will be much needed. Also happy to see him at the Sox game and not the Cubs.
