Which Prospect Are You Paying More Attention to During the Tourney?

 While its not likely the Harrison twins stock skyrocket during the tournament, I will be watching their on court demeanor and play very closely. They have been getting better as the season has gone on. 

Another team I will be interested in watching is UCLA. I havent been privy to many UCLA games this year so I will finally get to see Lavine, Adams and Anderson play in a high pressure situation.

Im watching players that I think will fall to the Cavs in that 6 to 10 range. Im also watching players who can be steals taken in the later 1st round. James Young, Gary Harris, Seldon, Rodney Hood for the 1st pick then guys like CJ Fair, Payne, TJ Warren.

 I want to see if Marcus Smart can get people back on his side. It looks likely that they will match up against Arizona and if he has a great game against a #1 seed and lead his team to a win then he should be getting a lot of buzz. He could have been the 2nd pick last year and he has lost out on millions of dollars already with a disappointing season so he can easily make up for it in this tournament with a deep run led by him. Not saying he will be a top 3 pick or anything because he won’t be many people don’t have him in the top 10 right now.

If you guys get a chance to catch Oklahoma, take a look at Buddy Hield. They don’t get a lot of nationally televised games, but he’s a strong, athletic, 6’4” shooting guard who has a nice all around skillset, including the ability to create for himself.

This is currently his sophomore year and he lead the Sooners in scoring with 16.8 ppg and shot just a shade under 40% from 3. I doubt he’ll come out after this season, but I think he probably will next year and I think he’s a late 1st round talent in 2015. He made a huge jump from last year to this, so I’m basing this partially on his continued development, but put him on your radar. He’s a nice talent.

 Elfrid Payton. Louisiana Lafayette is never nationally televised, so I’ve never seen him play a game. He’ll likely get knocked out tomorrow, but it should be good to see him.

Montrezl Harrell:  I love this guy. Want to see if he can produce in big games. He’ll probably have to hit key freethrows in tight games, hope he rises to the occassion. 

Sim Bhullar:  NM State will probably get knocked out in the 1st round, and Bhullar will most likley never play in the league… but he’s a big fat dude and I like him. It would also be cool to see an Indian-American make it on the court. 

Jerami Grant:  People are high on this dude, and the combinaiton of size and ball handling is sweet. Let’s see if he can produce consistently. 

Zach Lavine:  He has elite athleticism and a fairly good looking jump shot. But he disappears way too much for my liking. If he can contribute throughout a whole game, he’ll be a lottery pick IMO.

Stanford jr. Chasson Randle has a chance to improve his stock..He is a lightning quick combo guard with a nice stoke……

I’ve talked to a handful or NBA scouts and agents about Randle, Powell and Huestis and this was what all agreed on.

Huestis- early second mid second. Will be able to rebound and defend from day one which is why a lot of teams like him especially the Spurs,Jazz,Suns. Can hit the open jumper and has good size and athletic ability for his position (6’7 39 inch vert 230)

Powell- has outside of the lotto talent but plays soft to often and basketball IQ isn’t as high as it should be, age also hurts him (23). Has a chance to be a late first round pick due to workouts but most likely be a second rounder
