RUDEBOY_ParticipantAuburn Confirmed today that former Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl has been hired to replace Tony Barbee as their new head coach….Barbee was fired last week after the Tigers went 14-16 and 6 & 12 in the SEC..Barber was 49 & 75 in 4 seasons at the school… The 54 year old Pearl who has spent the last 2 years working for ESPN was fired in 2011 for lying to the NCAA during the recruitment of guard Aaron Craft…. Pearl told the school’s website that ”he’s humbled to be back in the game that he loves”…

Memphis MadnessParticipantGood for him! He’s a winner. He pulled a miracle at UT. I thought we should get him at Memphis. … let’s see what he can do at Auburn. Can’t wait to renew the Pearl/Cal rivalry.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantWhen you think about all the dirt and nonsense that goes around where people are actually harmed (Penn State having a pedophile roaming for decades and looking the other way, sexual assaults on campus getting covered up, DUIs covered up, etc), it is uncomfortable seeing someone get fired after an investigation into him having a recruit attend a cookout at his house. It was so stupid. Basically, the NCAA said he was such a bad lair that he was no longer qualified to be among the ranks of college coaches and had to go work at ESPN to learn to do so properly.

Moon RiverParticipantThis guy has nine lives. Given the track record, I am on record of saying there is a very good chance this ends badly. Good risk reward hire for Auburn though. They needed something like this. Cannot wait to hear Barkley’s reaction.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantPearl did a fantastic job at Tennessee. If he can win 20+ game a year at Auburn then he’s a veritable God. That program is horrific.
