Being a Milwaukee Bucks fan is possibly the most frustrating thing ever. What makes it so frustrating is having young talent and surrounding it with over-paid aging veterans.

I’ve put much thought in how we can improve this franchise and make the Milwaukee Bucks relevant again. Here’s what I’ve come up with:

We get either the 1st or 2nd pick in the lottery and draft Andrew Wiggins.

2nd round draft picks: CJ Wilcox, Johnny O’Bryant

Draft day trade with suns: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=m4jz88d

Ersan Ilyasova, John Henson, Khris Middleton, 2015 top 14 protected 1st round pick

    for

Channing Frye, Archie Goodwin, 2014 1st round pick from Wizards (currently 18th pick)

Pheonix gets a stretch 4 in Ersan, a back up center in Henson while they develop Len, a back up for gerald green in middleton, and the 2015 pick which will more than likely be in the same range as the 2014 pick they gave the Bucks.

Draft TJ Warren with this pick.

Let Jeff Adrien & Epke Udoh expire.

    Resign Ramon Sessions.

Trade Delfino either in the off-season or at the deadline to a contender

    2014-2015 Roster

Starters: Wolters, OJ Mayo, Wiggins, Giannis, Sanders

Bench: Sessions, Knight, Warren, O’Bryant, Zaza, Goodwin, Wilcox, Miroslav

that’s all i can say to bucks fans right now. sorry you have to go through this. there is no way this team can be turned into a past the first round playoff team for the next at least 3 years and more likely 5. they need luck in the draft realistically. nobody wants to join the bucks to just join them. it’s a small market team that donesn’t have a superstar. if they draft one this year, he’s still young and raw. i hope i’m wrong, but damn!

That trade with the Suns would be a pretty bad call for Milwaukee. Trading a good young player on a reasonable contract in Henson along with a good stretch 4 in Ilyasova and a 2015 first rounder for Frye, Goodwin and a first rounder from a playoff team? Terrible

Theres no telling what Herb Kohl and Hammonds will do going into next year. Usually its trying to piece together a somewhat competitive by brining in guys like Maggette, Captain Jax and Mayo and be in contention for a playoff spot. Luckily they failed miserably at that in the right year.
They do need a franchise changer and Wiggins is that guy imo. His game is suited better for the NBA as long as his jumpshot keeps improving. Other than that I hope its just baby steps, not throwing big money and years to a guy like Ariza or Lowry (I like both those guys as players but not in this situation). Best case, theyre still 2-3 years minimum from contending if guys like Henson, Giannis and Wiggins/Exum/Embiid/whoever reach their potential.

Concerning the trade, I don’t know why Phoenix would be willing the give up Channing Frye who is part of the best pick and roll tandem in the league with Goran Dragic, and I don’t know why Milwaukee would give up two promising players like Henson and Middleton when they are rebuilding and have time for the youngsters to develop.

+1 for the idea of drafting Wilcox and O’Bryant in 2nd round, I like both those guys and think both will find themselves getting PT somewhere next year.

I would have to decline your trade offer. Ersan would fit the system, but not with Sarver’s monetary philosophy. If we are going to trade any picks of the 3 it will be the Pacers. Also Archie Goodwin has the best potential out of anyone in this trade, and Frye is an expiring contract. It makes no sense for them although the Bucks could make some moves with the off-season outline you laid out.

Decline the trade is also assuming the 2015 pick is somewhat protected, if it weren’t (not realistic) then maybe they would consider.

Were they ever relevant ?  Probably have to go back to the days of Jack Sikma and Sidney Moncrief

You are forgetting about the big 3 (Cassell, Big Dog and Ray Allen).  Those were very good times in Milwaukee.

BTW- they need to get their lease/building situation figured out this off season, or Ang Puti Lalaki is correct, they are packing their bags for Seattle.

The big three got us to the conference finals. Easily the best years I’ve experienced as a Bucks fan.

Then the Ray Allen trade happened….
