Is a Kevin Love for Russell Westbrook a crazy trade? OKC is #1 seed without him. Westbrook can be top dog in Minny. Discuss. ( Thorpe’s Words )

The trade doesn’t seem that crazy to me. If Minny thinks Love will walk in a year why not have a Rubio/Westbrook team up.

And for OKC like Thorpe says they are a Number 1 seed without him. A KD, Love and Ibaka front line would be kind of nuts.

I don’t know if MN would trust the health of Russell.  If they are convinced his knee can be healthy now it doesn’t look too bad.  I Posted a month ago that I thought Love would be a good fit for the Thunder.  I think it would be for Ibaka and Lamb though, and at this point I don’t see the Thunder doing that.

I don’t know how well Rubio and Russ would play together.  Two guys who aren’t used to playing off the ball.

First of all – Minnesota knows Love is leaving after next year. So stop acting like Minnesota wouldn’t do this deal in a heart beat to get an extra two years with Westbrook.

Secondly – I just think its too risky for OKC. Their true identity is the athletic mismatches they have with Westbrook and Durant against whoever the other teams have. Don’t confuse regular season success with playoff success.. OKC would still have tons of problems with most of the top West teams if Westbrook isn’t out there.

as a wolves fan i would do that trade in a second…..i would even throw in Rubio. i think westbrook would blow up on his own like harden did last year. westbrook might average close to 30ppg if he didn’t have to share shots with durrant.

Twolves Trade Love and Martin for J Lamb and Westbrook and Perkins???

Rubio traded to Magic for T. Harris and the nuggets pick (13)

Twolves pick at 12 & 13 and get James Young & Aaron Gordon

    Twolves: Westbrook/Lamb/T. Harris/A Gordon/Pekovic

    Thunder: Jackson/Martin/Durant/Love/Ibaka

Magic:  Rubio/Oladipo/Wiggins/FA PF or Glen Davis as placeholder/Vucevic
