So it’s always fun to look at the depth of talent any team USA has for basketball so I figured I would start a thread for different line up combos they could go with in this summers World Cup of basketball. Originally I thought they might throw out a line up like Kyrie, Harden, George, griffin and Davis. But ever since Durant said he was in for the tourney and Blake griffin isn’t in the mix the different combos are piling up in my head. Maybe something like Kyrie, George, Durant, Davis and Drummond. Line up would be freakishly long and athletic and they could go small a couple minutes into the game by bringing in harden for Drummond. Anyway. What are some combos you like and what will be the starting line up they go with do you think?

Why isn’t Blake Griffin in the mix?  He would be great on this team, and would be the perfect big man combo with Anthony Davis in 2016.

Hopefully the selection committee didn’t leave him out.

Those two bigs with Andre Drummond as a true center and a returning Kevin Love would be the way for us to go inside.

I don’t think a two-big man lineup would be solid in international bb. The US squad adapted pretty well in the last Olympics going small ball with Melo and Durant at the 4.
