Lotto StudParticipantWhat lies ahead for both players this season, since they were in limited action?

DoubleNickelsDurr55ParticipantJ. Lamb should be 6th man IMO. I believe he is ready, he has international experience and experience as a wingman to Jenna at UCONN, he should fit that position well.
PJ3 is he a 3 or 4? I don’t know much about his game though.
Both are young, this league is all about minutes. I’d say in year 3 it is put up or shut up time for them.

mawi7056ParticipantThey’re both going into their 2nd years in the league…Jenna was quite a player at UCONN though

DoubleNickelsDurr55Participant….I needed to clarify myself better. I know they are in there second year, all i was saying is if they get the minutes they should produce, in year 3 and 4 is really when teams tend get rid of unproductive players.

cryan03ParticipantI think more is going to be expected out of Lamb than Jones this year because now that Kevin Martin has left OKC really has no one that can come off the bench and score from the wing position. Lamb killed it in the D-League last year and I think will have a chance to prove that he is ready for Martin/Harden role off the bench this upcoming year.
I still don’t know if Jones is a 3 or 4 in this league. But OKC does have Perkins, Ibaka, Collison, Thabeet (who for some reason actually got some playing time last year) and they just drafted Andre Roberson who seems like another combo forward who was a really good rebounder at the college level. So I don’t exactly see where the minutes will be for PJ3 this season but I hope they do give him a chance cause besides Ibaka he seems like the only forward on this roster can actually score besides layups & dunks.

JordanShootingJumpers23ParticipantComing from the biggest PJ3 supporter in the world, I think he needs to work on being a 3, I hope he extends his range and becomes more aggressive besides taking jumpshots, he has a decent handle for his size. I really hope he becomes good.

kazamParticipantLamb needs to prove that he can defend in both a team and individual sense. if he does that he will play and play a lot. His offensive game is very very sneaky.

SiggyParticipantLamb will get minutes, but more likely 7th-8th man type minutes. He’ll have to earn the 6th man role which looks like it’ll be Reggie Jackson’s to lose.
I don’t think PJ3 is a rotation player. He doesn’t have a niche since he does nothing well in particular.

CynthiaParticipantJackson can play some SG but he is still primarily a PG for OKC. Historically OKC’s 6th man guys have been SG’s playing around 25-28 MPG and backing up Sefolosha. Westbrook is not going to be out for 20+ MPG, but Sefolosha is. While I think a backcourt of Westbrook & Jackson could work in small spurts, I think Westbrook and Lamb would mesh together a bit better. Jackson is basically a poor mans Westbrook, having both of them on the court together could potentially be chaotic.
With that being said I can’t see Lamb getting 20+ minutes a game either. I think the 6th man role is going to be split pretty evenly between Reggie & Jeremy with both getting around 15-20 minutes. I expect to see a lot of different lineups at first until they find what works.

TruettParticipantJust sayin… OKC is a playoff team. typically, playoff teams dont give a lot of minutes to developmental players.
