lilbags23511Participanti believe we get any other of these players that are on the board at 8 Personally if curry is gone i would love to get one of the 4…….Evans/ Jennings/ Derozan/ Holiday…..i love flynn but we got nate and there the same replica of each other
Jonny Flynn
Tyreke Evans
Brandon Jennings
Demar Derozan
Earl Clark
Jordan Hill If he slips
Jrue HolidaySome of these players will be gone before 8 along with curry….but who would you guys want and who would take the knicks to another level…..
What free agents should the knicks go after……i think gortat…..hes plays good defense and people think he will be like jerome james…..i dont think so at all has one of the best work ethics in the nba and is only 25

lilbags23511Participanti would prob want jennings….but flynn and jennings could both be gone

ucantcheckmejdj3Participanti seriously doubt curry, flynn, and jennings are all gone by #8. Griffin, Rubio, Thabeet, Harden, Curry, Jennings, Flynn, Evans are possible top 8, so if the Knicks want a pg, either Curry/Jennings/Evans/Flynn WILL be available.

johnecoParticipantPersonally I think Curry will go 6th to the timberwolves who have said they are looking for shooting first, a shot blocking center second. More analytically:
Will be gone for sure:
Griffin
Thabeet
Harden
RubioSo the knicks will get to pick one of the following (ranked in my guess of most likely pick order):
Evans
Curry
Hill
Jennings
Holiday
Flynn
DeRozan
Lawson
HendersonJennings is the biggest wild card IMO. No idea where to rank him, he can go as high as fourth. If he goes higher than 8th probably Hill or Curry drops, most likely Hill IMO. Worst result for us is if Hill drops, and we have to pick between Hill, Flynn and Holiday. Otherwise we get to pick either Curry or Jennings, both of which are very promising.

JNixonParticipantTake Jennings or Flynn, and if both are available take Jennings

kjhotshotParticipantIt’s definitely either Jennings or Flynn… being a Knicks/Cuse fan, I’d obviously prefer the latter

thechosenstud101ParticipantI would take DeRozan.

sheltwon3ParticipantAlready have Chandler and Derozan is not a pure shooter. You add potentially Wade or Lebron to that mix and drafting a wing player would not be wise for the Knicks. The need either a big or a point guard and going with a point guard would be wiser because there are no bigs in this draft that are better than David Lee. Mullens and Thabeet have that potential but they also could be busts. HIll is a player that to me is hyped because there is no one else. If Curry is not there I would take Evans to keep or I would trade down and take Eric Maynor or Teague and add an asset. Fynn is too much like Nate and Jennings is too close to be being a Marbury to me.

nepaliman_7Participantif he falls, hill would be a great pick. i think holiday is the mos realistic pick for the knicks

Lodzio20ParticipantJonny Flynn is the best fit for the Knicks

Lodzio20ParticipantGood mock but Collison is too low…and Dwayne Collins back to school

nykgmrParticipant…which is probably unlikely, I would then go best prospect available or move down a few slots and hopefully pick up an extra pick.
Prospects –
Jordan Hill is very interesting to me even though we have several forwards already but he won’t slip that far.Derozan, who’s a rare athlete I like also but he’s got a few issues he needs to work on.
Evans i’m not that sold on, he dominates the ball and reminds me of Jamal Crawford mostly. Been there, done that!
Jrue Holiday may be a bit more of a project then initially thought.
Verdict –
I’d trade down a few and target the likes of possible sleepers like Gerald Henderson (dudes got some nastiness and anger to his game like Sprewell used to), Ty Lawson, Earl Clark or BJ Mullens (if you dare to go there). With the extra pick it looks like the Knicks may target Austin Daye. Daye is extremely talented skill set wise but has the body type and strenght of a 12 year old stretch out in a 6-11 frame. He’s years away from helping but has a def shooting touch and feel of the game.Lastly, stop hating on Marcin Gortat! 5 million (if you could even sign him to that little) is not too much to spend on a defensive minded center that can finish strong. There’s only 2 desirable centers in the league anyway (Dwight Howard & injury plagued Yao Ming). Shaq is 50 years old and fatter then ever. There’s not much else that’s clearly better then Gortat who’s still young.

rose2dabullzParticipantIt has got to be Flynn or Jennings..The Knicks are going to lose Nate Robinson so Flynn being to much like him is a non-issue..I think both of them would do excellent in Dantoni’s up-tempo offense..I would personally take Flynn over Jennings, just because I thought the Knicks were trying to get away from low character players like Jennings..I agree that taking DeRozan makes no sense at all for them, I don’t think Evans fits in Dantoni pass first pg offense, where it is essential that the pg is an excellent decision maker..And as far as Holiday, I’ll be honest I haven’t seen much of him, but I don’t know if he has the skills it takes to run an NBA offense the way Dantoni has the pg run his teams..I would also consider Hill if he fell, but I don’t see that happening.

NYK2010ParticipantNot interested in Flynn this team is small at every position except SF. I agree with nykgmr trade down and try and get another pick Knicks help everywhere except SF. D’antoni doesn’t seem to like Lee he doesn’t fit the system well, go after a big guy can never have too many bigs look at the Lakers this year. There has to be a pg available in a trade or free agency soon. Gortat would be a good pickup he can defend and block shots, Van Gundy didn’t use him right instead going small with Lewis who did very lil in the Finals.

Who will they take……………………………………..Someone who is prone to injury and is surrounded by controversy
