Wolves reject cavs offer of Kevin Love

Can’t blame Portland or Minnesota for rejecting the Cavs recent offers. Aldridge and Love are great big men and the #1 ina weak Draft, plus anyone outside of Irving will get you these guys.

I love Kevin Love as a player but if the Cavs called and offered that deal I would have to take it. Thompson, waiters, and the #1 pick is crazy value. Love has been hurt a lot and can leave in two years. That is good cheap talent on rookie contracts. They love oladipo and that gives the wolves a core of Rubio, waiters, oladipo, ak47, Thompson, pek, and Williams plus another solid player at 9? So maybe add zellerto that group? Crazy young stacked team.. That is a crazy offer by the Cavs if true and I honestly have a hard time believing they could give that much up for Love. As good as Love is its hard to give your whole future up.

I get the feeling that people are really undervaluing Love. It’s true he’s never been in a playoff series. But look at the godawful supporting casts he’s been surrounded by…the only other legit players he’s played with are Pek and Rubio (both were knocked out by injuries), and AK for a little bit. What else has he had…the stunning talents of Jonny Flynn, Darko, Martell Webster, Wes Johnson, Luke Ridnour, Ryan Hollins…I could go on. Love is something only 4 other players in the NBA can claim at the moment: the best player in their position. Love is the best pure PF in the NBA right now, and the only fair value in return for him would be someone close to the best at their position. In other words, the only way the Wolves take a look at the Cavs is if Irving is involved in the deal. Waiters is not that good- he’s horribly inefficient, and can’t/doesn’t really want to defend; Thompson is OK, but won’t be nearly as good as Love is; and there’s no guarantee the #1 pick will be as good a value as they think it is this year, in arguably the weakest draft (at the top) in the last decade or so.

This would be acceptable in 2K. But real life? Hell no!

I don’t even believe this rumor. Hell I don’t believe half the rumors being posted, tons of them are just smoke screens created by agents/GM’s, to put it easily, heres how DA put it and I agree with him. Just wait for the draft!! Also, this is just my opinion but I don’t even like the sound of that trade, Dion is a valuable core piece of our team and we need him for the future.

Agents who don’t want their clients playing for a certain team for whatever reason hint at “instability” within that organization. You know, Smith and Wesson don’t really get along. The coach is on his way out. They told me they don’t like my guy. He’s not a good fit there, anyway. And on and on.

And because everyone is lying — not to mention that there are teams genuinely conflicted about whom to take — you have no idea how the first 10 picks, much less the 50 that follow, are really likely to go. Nor do you have any idea what last-minute trades are being concocted, and acted upon, as you read this.

But here I am, giving it my best guesses, based on talking to execs around the league; educated guesses based on needs, team wants and the like.

Last year, I got five first-round picks right out of 30 — a sterling success rate of 17 percent! (And I am including that I had the Celtics taking Jared Sullinger — though I had Boston grabbing him at 22 overall instead of 21, where they actually took him.) A 17 on a test — Quantum Physics, Driver’s Ed, Name that Golden Girl — is a failing grade. I hate failing.”

The Cavs trade offer is a very good one, and the Wolves are making a huge decision, right or wrong we’ll just have to wait and see what happens later…

I would be awesome to see Irving and Love together in Cleveland, both we may have to wait until Love is a free agent in a few years…

Minny wouldn’t think twice about pulling the trigger because they know Love is overrated. The thing is, these are false rumors. The cavs wouldn’t be that dumb to give up the whole team for Love just because he played in the all star. Let’s not forget he got in the all star team thanks to someone elses injury.
