The Portland Trail Blazers are in a very unique situation this year, since they have the opportunity to add several complimentary pieces.

I’ve seen both Caldwell-Pope and Cody Zeller being projected to go 10th, basically either paring up Lillard with Caldwell-Pope or Aldridge with Cody Zeller.

    Who’s the better fit?

    More on the situation here!

I would go with Zeller mainly because Portland already has Matthews at SG plus they really dont have a center thats ready to step in and start. With Hickson possibly leaving via FA, Zeller and Leonard would form a great center tandum alongside Lamarcus Aldridge. Dont get me wrong, KCP would be a nice pick too. I just think Zeller makes more sense for them.

Who do you guys think they go with if both are gone because I have Zeller and KCP off the board by that point

      Shabazz Muhammad? C.J McCollum?

I heard Portland really likes Victor Oladipo, but he won’t be on the board.

They have a ton of options, which isn’t necessarily bad. It’ll be tough to go wrong with anybody.

If both are gone, I would say CJ McCullom or maybe Steven Adams. They may also wanna think about Muhammad at that spot too.

Portland needs help all over for their bench, so I say take the best player available. In my opinion Zeller is a better prospect. Plus, if they do have one bench player to include in their future plans, it’s Will Barton, who plays the same position as KCP.

I would take CJ. He can play backup point which the Blazers need with Maynor becoming a free agent. He also has the size to play alongside Lillard. Portlands biggest problem last year was bench production. Going with a raw center would be redundant especially since Leonard has more upside than any in this draft. Plus Portland has 12 mil in cap room and will make another run at an established C like they did last year.

Zeller is promoting himself as a stretch four. The only reason I see Portland drafting him is because supposedly the Suns are willing to trade Gortat for Zeller if he drops to Portland.
