I feel like Trey Burke has a lot of Skills that will translate nicely to the NBA. He’s explosive, quick and has great handles mixed with a good IQ. He also has a good long range shot and can slash with the best of them. I see him as a top 3 pick for sure but I feel like he gets overlooked into a Top 3 category mainly cause of his height. I mean look at what CP3 can do at 6’0. I feel like he will be a steal at #7.

Yea I know his quickness isn’t CP3 ish but I still think its good enough to get by nba defenders. Plus he has a winners mentality and not to mention the rare clutch gene. I just think he will be more likely to be a good player in the league than a Marcus Smart (who is a mix of a PG/SG) or an Otto Porter

His quickness isn’t in the same class as CP3.. He also lacks that “blow by” gear, that being said, I still think he will be one of the top prospects in this years draft class. Earlier in the season, I think he was underrated, but he’s now universally viewed as a top 10 pick, with a real shot to crack the top 5.. Thats right where he deserves to be. Its been said many times before, any one in the top 8 or so could be considered #1 in this draft.

If he’s not cheating, then he’s 6’1″. That’s what he measures out to in his Twitter picture.

Orlando should be locked in on him. With Tobias playing great and Moe improving with Nikola, they need a PG or a PF

Orlando or Utah would be perfect for him, though Utah would have to trade up most likely

How can a player that won all the national players of the year awards be considered underrated?!?!?!

Not to mention that there have been a bunch of “Trey Burke is underrated” threads in the past week or two.

he won player of the year and depending on whose mock you read he will be the first or second point guard off the board. what more are you looking for?

personally, I think the fact that he doesn’t have elite athleticism for a guy that small with hinder him a little bit, especially defensively, but dude is a player. I’m sure he will have a nice NBA career. I don’t think he will ever reach that chris paul stratosphere, but I don’t think it makes him “underrated” to suggest he wont be the best point guard of his generation and a first ballot hall of famer. If there was a Chris Paul caliber pg in every damn draft, suddenly Chris Paul wouldn’t seem so special. In the NBA draft process, half the lottery picks never sniff an all star team. If a guy taken in the lottery turns out to have a meaningful NBA career and play a key role on a winning team, he’s already broken the bell curve.

He’s not super explosive, but I like his ability to still give defenders that hesitation/change of gear move that gets him past them. I like his ability to shoot off of the dribble too. He does a good job mixing it up.

I’m sold on this guy. IF he goes to the right team, he’s going to do very good things right away.

I know some people dont like comparisons but… how about Mark Price? Burke will be a dynamite pick-and-roll PG because his shoot means you can’t go under, and if you do, he’ll use his creative handles to get to the lane to create for himself and others. I don’t know if he’ll ever get the percentages Price did, but the have similar strength and weaknesses.

I can see Bruke as a rich man’s Jameer Nelson. He has that feistyness and outside shot, and has more length and is more of a pure point. 17 and 7/8 seems about right for Bruke.

I see his ceiling as Jameer, All-Star Version which is definitely not a bad thing. If my PG is on All-Star level and averages around 18 and 7, I am very happy.

Ummm what is it exactly that you think zeller should have won? U can’t be talking about player of the year. He wasn’t even the best contributing player on his team this year

for much of the year he was a borderline 1st round early second round pick but steadily crept up to where he belongs….the TOP 5
