Both Jordan and Griffin hasn’t progress as much from last season. I thought Jordan would have a break out season after getting his contract, but that hasn’t happened, and Griffin hasn’t taken that next step. I was expecting Jordan to have atleast 10-10 season and Griffin to be a 25-10 player but both has not happened.

As I said around trade deadline dont be suprised if CP3 dips out of LA, he has no reason to, but if CP3 feels as if he wont get a ring in LA he wont stay, especially if he can possibly team up with Dwight and Josh Smith, or any other 2 mature superstars although that guarantees nothing either, I just dont see CP3 a lifetime Clipper.

  Maybe its me, but I wouldn’t list Dwight Howard or Josh Smith as mature players either. Josh Smith is known to pout and Dwight is a major whiner.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been one of the best feel good stories in the NBA this season. They just notched their 50th win and are considered to be serious contenders coming out of the Western Conference. However, some of the members of “lob city” have had some immaturity issues that is starting to come to the forefront. DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin have been bickering at each other on the sidelines and Jordan has now said he wants nothing to do with coach, Vinny Del Negro.

The feel-good Clippers are gone, with DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin’s immaturity dragging the team down.
Jordan wants nothing to do with Coach Vinny Del Negro because he blames Del Negro for burying him on the bench.
He (Jordan) wants the ball like any great player, but when it doesn’t go to him, he pouts. He’s 24. Most of the time the ball goes to Griffin, but he’s concerned only about the times when it doesn’t.
The other night in Sacramento, Griffin and Jordan exchanged words on the bench. Griffin told Jordan he best never again stare him down as he did when Griffin failed to give Jordan a good pass for a dunk.
Everyone else was left to sit there while waiting for the kids to stop bickering.
Then surprisingly, Chris Paul’s name was brought up. Apparently Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are tired of hearing Chris Paul’s voice as well.
The pair have also grown tired of Chris Paul’s voice, which is understandable at times.
Paul, very much like Kobe Bryant — who has turned off Dwight Howard with his out-of-this-world standards — is relentless. He never shuts up. And Jordan and Griffin have become weary of him.
When asked about being annoying, Paul smiled and said, “I need to work on being a better leader.”
Griffin and Jordan should realize what is at stake here. Chris Paul is the best point guard in the game and obviously makes both of them better players. They have a team talented enough to make some noise this season in the competitive Western Conference. Both need to grow up fast or this could spell for an early exit in the playoffs.

I wonder if CP3 smiled because he just decided to leave Griffin and Jordan to themselves in the off-season.
Funniest part of this article: He (Jordan) wants the ball like any great player, but when it doesn’t go to him, he pouts.
At what point did DeAndre Jordan become a great player? He makes one post move and suddenly he should be first option… smdh.

This dude should not get a lot of minutes. He can’t hit free throws does not have good post moves. Overall his all around game is not where it needs to be for him to demand minutes. He is getting better but he still needs a lot of work. Yea Paul is driving his team but that is what leaders have to do in order to get the most out of the team. No one on that team should be saying anything cause with out Paul they are not a good team. He is the reason why they are lob city in the first place…

I actually agree with Deandre Jordan, he should be playing more. He plays better defense than Lamar Odom at this point in their careers, he gives more size and athleticism, and Lamar Odom only shoots 50% from the free throw line. Yes, Deandre Jordan is shooting 39% from the foul line, but he’s shooting 64% from the field and Lamar is shooting 39%.
Deandre Jordan only plays 24 minutes per game. His per 36 stats are 13 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal. I think those are great stats for a starting center who is the last option on offense.
My problem with the article is it absolves Coach Vinny, and we all know that isn’t correct. Deandre Jordan has a beautiful free throw stroke, he just needs to practice it more this off season, it also wouldn’t hurt going to Hakeem Olajuwan again. Blake needs to work on his defensive principles, and maybe he needs to take that trip with Deandre to visit Hakeem. It worked for Amare and they’re playing styles are extremely similar, pretty much the same. Yes both players need to improve but when your starting front court players are both 24 years old, and together average 33 points, 20 rebounds, 3 blocks, 5 assists, 2 steals, and shoot 59% from the field per 36 minutes, you let them play, and you groom them.
Vinny Del Negro doesn’t develop players, and he doesn’t coach players well enough for them to learn from their mistakes. The whole team has things to work on.
Vinny needs to work on better coaching strategies and ways to coach.
Chris Paul needs to work on being a better leader, you can’t lead all players the same way.
Blake needs to work on his post game and defense.
Deandre needs to work on his free throws and post game.
Bledsoe, needs to work on his shooting and his abilities running a team.
Jamal Crawford needs to work on when and when not to take shots.
Chauncey needs to just retire.
The most consistent player on the team is “Tuff Juice” Caron Butler.

You may be right, but I doubt that Dwight and Josh would be arguing with each other over a lob pass if they are on their way to the playoffs, with possibly the best PG in the game as their leader. But you never know.
I just think with Vinny Del Negro as the coach the Clips aren’t going to be as successful as they could be, he’s a good coach but not championship material.
I’ve seen Bledsoe scowl and look unhappy with Del Negro as well.

  I definitely agree with you there. Dwight and Josh are mature enough not to argue over lob passes…at least I think they are. Vinny Del Negro definitely is a mediocre coach and I wouldn’t be shocked if Chris Paul put the pressure on the Clippers to hire a different coach before he signs an extension.
  Its a shame for the Clippers because they are crawling into the playoffs when they looked like they could have been the top team in the West earlier in the year.

I don’t get these “leaders” who just treat their teammates like dirt. I don’t think that is leadership, I think that is you being a cocky, arrogant player. You look at Miami, and LeBron isn’t killing his teammates everytime they mess up. And if anyone could do that, its him. The Clippers have lots of issues, too bad they wasted their amnesty on Ryan Gomes because that 30 mil owed to Jordan is looking pretty terrible right now. They need to fire Del Negro, and believe me, I was one of his defenders for the longest time. And If CP3 leaves, That would be terrible for them but honestly at this point I could see it happening.

  At no point does it say he “treats them like dirt” – it just says that he’s very vocal and relentless.
  Paul holds them to the same standard of excellence he strives for; is it so much to ask for a professional attitude from professional athletes?
  Also, Lebron might be unselfish and a playmaker, but I don’t think he’s much of a leader, even if he is the best player in the world right now. Leaders can’t treat their team-mates with kid-gloves all the time, the best leaders are fierce.

    That’s merely an opinion. Nothing says leader about someone who is fierce. Now this has nothing to do with competitiveness, it has to do with how you treat your teammates. Holding his teammates to a “standard of excellence” is just a way of saying, since he’s the best player on the team, he is going to call you out when you mess up, but you can’t call him out when he does, because, well, he’s Chris Paul. Its stupid, it makes no sense, and it doesn’t make anyone better, it just starts problems like this.
    There is also a difference from players not playing hard, and players who make mistakes. If someone is blatantly being lazy, and a star wants to get on him for doing so, I have no problem with that. But everyone misses shots, everyone turns the ball over, no one is perfect. Having a “Leader” that is “relentless” and calls everyone out for essentially not being as good as he is is just narcissistic and annoying. Do you think Shane Battier, Norris Cole, and Mario Chalmers enjoy playing with LeBron more than Steve Blake, Metta, and Pau Gasol enjoy playing with Kobe? Of course they do…and it’s not like its working for the Lakers any better having a “relentless leader” as opposed to having someone who respects his teammates. There’s no kid gloves, its just simply not being a dick and leading by example to get the most out of your guys. You say Lebron is a poor leader, yet Paul’s team is basically in disarray right now because of how bad the morale is, and has been playing poorly lately, while the Heat are marching through the league with no problems in sight.

Honestly, I can see CP3 leaving LA after this season IF they don’t make noise and patch things up in the playoffs. If they get out of the first round, and take OKC or the Spurs to the brink or are really close and look like they can go far, than maybe CP3 stays, but if not, I can easily see the three of them joining forces.
Looking at the Hawk’s salary cap for next season, they’ll have 40 million in cap space, with only Horford and Lou Williams. Not sure how likely it is, but if they take a sight pay cut(I don’t think Smith would be underpaid, but Howard and Paul would be) than that would be crazy.
Also, if Indiana can move George Hill contract(reasonable considering he’s pretty good) than they would be able to sign a max guy.

  I don’t think Paul needs Howard AND Smith, if Atlanta retained Smith for a reasonable price and added CP3, then Horford, Smith and Paul would be a pretty good combination. Or hell, even letting Smith walk and getting Howard and Horford would work. Surround the rest with shooters and you have a pretty damn good team.
  Horford has a decent mid-range shot for a big man so he could play out of the paint some and Paul would obviously help Dwight find his mojo in the pick and roll.
  Horford isn’t a huge name, but he’s a very good second or third option for a team with a legitimate star already.

I know CP3 has ties with Atlanta but I just think this is no option for him from a basketball standpoint and last but not least the crowd in Atlanta is one of the worst in the league to me. Against the Knicks there have been more Knicks fans than Hawks fans which is unacceptable to me.
When Kobe says that CP3 is a great competitor I just don’t think he will put his career in the hands of a team which is known for beeing mediocre and has a half empty arena even against devision rivals.
Horford and Teague are okay but if the Hawks are going to pay for Smith they are done if you ask me.
