    Just saw this on Adrian Wojnarowski’s twitter, he says that the intial exam on Gallo’s knee indicates it is likely a torn ACL, because apparently the ligament was loose

    This sucks, absolutely sucks. Gallinari is an exciting player to watch and he has really come into his own this season. The Nuggets’ fate now lies in Wilson Chandler(or Corey Brewer, don’t sleep on him), can he fill Gallo’s void? I say yes, but I think losing Gallinari REALLY hurts their chances of going deep in the playoffs, which to me was very plausible.

    I hate seeing guys go down with ACL injuries. He was just having a great time making shots and celebrating with his teammates now he is likely done for a while. This pretty much kills any chances Denver had of making noise in the playoffs because he is pretty much the only guy they had who can stretch the defense.

      Stretching the floor shouldn’t be a huge problem, Chandler, Iggy, Brewer, and Lawson all make about 1 three a game, and Chandler to me will step into Gallo’s position now. They’ll miss his ability to score in multiple ways, he has grown into a very versatile offensive player, as opposed to being a stand-still shooter the way he was his first few years in New York.

    Never want to see injury to anyone, but this team is the deepest at the wing in the league with Iggy, Brewer, Chandler, Hamilton, and even Fournier. It hurst them in the post season but not all hope is lost.

    Side note: Didn’t want to include Quincy Miller because I haven’t seen anything from him all year and he’s only played in five games.

      They might be deep but in the playoffs they are going to miss him a ton. Depending on who they play they might go out in the first round…

    DAMN IT. I was willing to say before this that Denver would win the west, now I can’t see it, Galinari is too valuable, such a mis-match for teams.

    Jeez, enough with the ACL tears. It almost feels like this is becoming too common of an injury. Rose, Shump, Rubio, Nerlens, etc.
