Thanks to Yahoo! Prep Rally and Ben Rohrbach. We saw Nik go a non-chalant 45-50 during a Christmas shooting session. In this vid, he was trying to break his record of 96 three point makes in 5 minutes. He hit 102 in 5, 128-142 (slightly over 90%) in the video. He hit a tiny rough patch to start the tournament, but is now back around 45% from three on the year.

Referred to in this article as "the Canadian Jimmy Chitwood", Stauskas sure played like it against Florida hitting 6-6 from deep and scoring 22 on 8 shots. I am guessing he probably plays 4 years of college, yet I think he has skills that end up making him a legit NBA option down the road. He is more than just a shooter and has had a great freshman year. His shot is a thing of beauty and I am just in awe that he hit over 100 treys in a span of 5 minutes. Maybe others could as well, just have not really seen documented proof. Now I have.

      WTH? Max Hooper?
That’s one of the best names for a basketball player in the history of western civilization.

Wow! Both pretty incredible. Just think, Hooper could be even faster if he didn’t dip the ball for momentum and start from the old school philosophy of a (unnecessary) shooting pocket. He could probably get like 5 or more shots attempts.

Shooters: The “shooting pocket” and the dip for inertia are unnecessary, make you slower, make more work for you, and are wasted motions/energy. You will get ample power from your legs and wrist action and don’t need the dip/shooting pocket.
