Most of these NBA comparisons have already been discussed, but there might be a couple that haven’t been mentioned yet. Obviously these players are still in high school, so the comparisons are more for fun than anything else.

Wiggins is probably the only recruit who’s clearly the top player in his class. The other 3 are deserving of the honor for now, but it can obviously change. These comparisons might not be the best, but hopefully it’s an interesting and informative read none the less.

The progression Thon Maker has made over the last year is just downright remarkable! He’s definitely been hitting the weight room which is excellent news, as it shows he’s working hard to improve himself. His jumper looks alot cleaner, and he’s playing with alot more force down low. If you watch a tape of KG in his HS days, the comparisons are scary. He’s definitely further along at the same stage as HS Junior prospect Karl Towns was as a freshman, and we all saw how Towns more than held his own against Anthony Davis in preperation of last years Olympics as a 16 year old. I honestly was worried that Maker would be more Isaiah Austin than KG, but he’s definitely surprised me and I’m excited to see if he can conitnue to work hard and capitalize on his enormous potential.

this kid thon maker is extreamly intriging. i have never seen a prospect at such a young age with so much potential. i think him and jahlil will bring back the era of the bigman, and keep a close eye on harry giles III, hes gonna be sick.

Thon Maker looks a legit defensive monster with that size and wingspan already, he has 3 years at least to carry on growing and developing physically. He could well be the most hyped big man since Greg Oden or going back further Tim Duncan and Shaq. He looks as if he could me Mutombo like on defence and if his offensive game comes along likewise we could be saying his upside is someone like Hakeem or KG.

Karl Towns will also be a monster IMO, he has showed he can mix it with the older guys and will be joing a no doubt loaded Kentucky class in 2014.

I could def see him being a hakeem type. He already can do amazing things for a kid his size. His skill level is awesome for a freshman. All he really needs is to work on his post game. I would try to somehow get him those dream post move workouts over the summer if that does not violate NCAA rules for him in the future. Imagine thon working with the dream!!!
