F: Trevor Mbakwe – His game against Indiana was eye opening, plays like a man among infants down low.

F: Adrian Payne – I love his energy/versatility, he’s added a 3p shot to his arsenal this year and is still incredibly long and effective down low..

G/F: Scott Wood – Great competitor and an even better shooting stroke.

G: Marshall Henderson – Such a genuine character, so entertaining to watch.

G: Nate Wolters – Had the chance to play against him in HS, its been awesome to see him doing so well.

Trey Burke-Little Big Man..Burke is my chioce for National Player of the Year..He did whatever it took to get his team the win…

Marshall Henderson-I wouldnt want him on my team…Becuz he plays an undiscipline style, selfish, crowd pleasing style, but man is he a joy to watch……

DJ Stephens-Might be the best leaper in the nation..Stephens was Memphis emotional leader….His Dunks were Ridiculous…

Mitch McGary-His combination of size, athleticism, hard work, competitiveness and energy is get him looks from nba teams whenever he decides to come out…..

Willie Cauley Stein-He’s still learning how to play..But you have to love the effort and energy he displays……He’s a 7 foot Kenyon Martin….

PG: Marcus Smart – I’ve posted on this site a couple times about him, the guy just knows how to win and will do whatever is necessary. From the first time i watched him against NC State in the non conference pre season to the OK State victory AT Kansas this guy has impressed the hell out of me. If i were an NBA team in need of a leader regardless of positional needs I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to grab Marcus.

SG: Brandon Paul – Watched him single handedly take down Gonzaga and put on one of the great scoring shows of the season IMO. The Indiana game was also another classic for this season.

SF: Deshaun Thomas – why is this guy so underrated as an NBA prospect? he’s got 6th man written all over him. Sure he isn’t the best at defense and isn’t quite the “hustle” player coaches love but thats also 75% of the NBA. The guy can score in literally any way possible, from a floater in the lane to NBA 3 point range.

PF: i was gonna go with Trevor Mbakwe but i’ll switch it up and go with an undersized guy instead, Andre Roberson – started watching this guy early last year and quickly understood why he leads the nation in rebounding at only 6’7. His ball IQ is highly underrated IMO. If a guy at 6’7 and about 210 can lead the country in boards 2 years in a row, he knows what the hell he’s doing. Always active in the paint and seems to be a very easy guy to play with. Just stick him anywhere and he’ll do what he does best.

C: Nerlens Noel – had to give him some love. I’ll admit I was a Nerlens hater before the season but after watching a few games you quickly realize this guy brings it absolutely every time he steps on the floor. And after seeing Goodwin’s “too cool for school” attitude and Poythress being a timid gentle giant, it was always refreshing to see Nerlens stay at 110% every minute he was in. Definitely proved he’s a legitimate and uniquely gifted shot blocker, hope he makes it back strong as ever.

These ae not guys who i think are the best at their position…just guys I enjoy watching!

PG- Pierre Jackson- Super quick and deadly 3 ball, has the ball on the string and makes defenders look silly, really enjoy watching him play.

SG- Russ Smith- Out of control….yes? But I love it! He plays with so much confidence, and once he gets hot you cant stop him.

SF- Doug McDermott- Super scorer, anytime someone can score a barrage of points, and can do it on a consistent basis you have to love that, and be excited to watch him play, reminds me of Adam Morrison when he was in college.

PF- No one really excites me at this position, but I will just put Cody Zeller and CJ Leslie here…..Zeller more so because I wanna see one of the top draft picks play…and Leslie because he does something exciting everytime he plays.

C- Nerlens Noel- He doesn’t bring much excitement on the offenseive end, but anytime a guy blocks numerous shots over and over again it gets me hyped, love watching him play defense.

PG: Michael Carter-Williams (I’m a sucker for the pass-first PG, and when he’s on his A game, it’s incredible to watch how he manipulates a defense); Runner-up: Pierre Jackson

SG: Victor Oladipo (It’s just insanely entertaining watching him fly around the court); Runner-up: Trevor Cooney (For some reason, whenever he knocks down a 3, it makes me feel like I’m watching my son grow up before my eyes lol)

SF: Otto Porter (old school game)

PF: Doug McDermott (guy is so fundamentally sound it isn’t even funny; love watching him score in a ton of different ways); Runner-up: Anthony Bennett (Such a young, talented guy)

C: Cody Zeller (He has incredible touch around the rim and plays the game in a unique way IMO); Runner-up: Gorgei Dieng (watching him destroy Syracuse’s zone with his passing ability was crazy; and he’s a great shot blocker as well)

I was in a bar in Vietnam and the Memphis/ Louisville game came on. I was the only one into it for a start but soon a whole crowd was watching D.J Stephens go insane with his leaping, dunks and blocks. Basketball isn’t big at all over there yet he had the bar watching him intently. This then he’s been one of my favourite guys to watch!
